Advanced to week 8. Next Advance: Tues Oct 5 @ 9AM
Game Of the Week
VS
There are a lot of great games this week. #24 Clemson(6-0) vs #18 VT(5-1), #17 Texas A&M(4-2) vs #3 Nebraska(6-0), but the big game this week is #9 Auburn(5-1) vs #5 LSU(6-0). Auburn is coming off of it's first loss of the season. They will be trying to give LSU it's first loss as they travel down to death Valley. LSU has just recently replaced it's head coach, an unprecedented move for an undefeated team, now they face their first real challenge of the SEC. It should be a big game. Hope to see you there.

Nah, I actually think we're 3-3 now. You have to tear my ass consistently to be a top dynasty player. I'd say Clark maybe mid range dynasty player lol.
Oh and no homo on the bolded part.

Hey ho, what's your schedule like? I can't play today because I gotta go back to sleep for work tonite and tomorrow I'm sleeping till the games start. I'd like to play sometime Monday before 3PM. Can you do that? If so give me a time. If not, give me your schedule so we can figure this out.

Just going off what I know, he can probably play you Monday morning before work. I know we'll both be out tomorrow for the NFL games and we usually work out Monday mornings, so he'll probably be able to squeeze you in sometime before/after the workout.

Yeah, you're right. You don't have 3 straight wins though. I beat you last year in between you beating me 2x with Alabama.

???? How you gonna put blaze in the top 4 when he lost to both me and Jhawk last year and my only loss was to the national champion. I mean, I don't care, it's your opinion.....just doesn't make sense.

urbanslegend05 wrote:So who would be the top 3 Rivals/Workers, Workers/Rivals coaches?
Ok, I'll bite. Please don't take this personal anyone. I'm gonna do Workers only because there's a lot of people in Rivals that I've never played or only played once. This is a list of top coaches(users), not top teams, so I'm basing all this on if all the teams were equal.
1. jhawk889 - He's only lost 1 game in 2.5yrs (1 yr in Rivals, 1.5 yrs in Workers) in both OD's and hasn't lost to a human yet. His stick skills and playcalling are both superb. He plays to his teams strength ie passing with Andrew Luck at Stanford and running the option at Kansas. He excelled with both teams. He thoroughly smashed me in our 1 game in Rivals, but that was against an less than talented Cal team. A better matchup would be Kansas against Auburn over here. (Home and home after next season?). All things being equal I'd say he's a little better than the no. 2 guy, which is:
2. Joker12 - He's only lost to 2 users since we started the OD. One is me and the other is Clark, someone that knows his tendencies and had a ridiculous Alabama team. His playcalling and stick skill are both above average at least and excellent at best. He is the only user that I've played that makes me say "Oh Shit!" at least once every time I play him, whether it be after a great stick skill play or after a great offensive playcall.
3. Urbanslegend05 - I feel that Urban is on par with me as far as skill goes, but his stick skills are a bit better. His defensive and offensive play recognition is great and his playcalling is above average.
These are my top 3 based on what I've seen the last few years. They are based on an assortment of things including but not limited to:
- What happened the first time we played
- playcalling
- stick skills
- offensive and defensive play recognition
- gameplanning
- recruiting
Like I said earlier, this is just my opinion. Please don't take this personal. This is based on if all the teams are equal. When you throw the talent of the different teams from the OD into the mix, a lot of things change. I really feel that we don't have any just flat out sorry players in this OD. I think on any given Saturday one user can beat another user. Even Kid can surprise people every once in a while lol.

3A. Splff3000 - Wait a minute, I'm up here? Remember we're saying if all teams are equal. Auburn started behind the 8 ball compared to some of the other teams, starting with all B's for grades. Most other teams had at least one B+ or A-. And in Rivals, cal was pure shit when I switched to them. Splff3000 is also one of the few people that beats Joker, not on a consistent basis but more often than anyone else. Splff3000 is also the only user that beat Alabama in Rivals and thoroughly beat them at that. He has won a championship in the OD at some point every year. His stick skills are above average at best but his playcalling and game planning are both excellent.
3B. Urbanslegend05 - I feel that Urban is on par with me as far as skill goes, but his stick skills are a bit better. I made him 3B because I almost beat him with Auburn when he had Florida, because he can't beat Joker, and because he can't beat clark's Bama in Rivals. The last 2 I've done already even though Florida is a lot more prepared to beat Bama than most other teams are, except Ohio St. His defensive and offensive play recognition is great and his playcalling is above average.

I've got to say that my list would be the exact same, but perhaps flipping the top two guys. I haven't played Hawk enough to know just how good he is yet, but it's obvious that he's very good.
Clark is also making a good run for being recognized as one of the top players in both dynasties. Last year, he didn't beat me once, but this year, I haven't beat him. Hopefully that will change when Nebraska and Arkansas play and in the SEC Championship in Rivals. Still, you've got to give Clark a lot of credit bc he's really improved his overall game.

Hell, he's improved a lot just from the first time I played him. He actually called a real good game this last time we played. Still though, he's 3-2 against me and his team is always better. I've never played him with the better team and I've won almost half of the time. He's definitely in that upper 2nd tier of users though. I'd put just about everybody in that 2nd tier. Most users here are good enough to beat you if you're slipping. I guess that bottom tier would have kid in it all by his lonely lol. Looks like locomotion really hurt his stick skills or something.

Re: Workers 2011 Discussion Thread
Actually, I've lost twice. I lost to Michigan State and Boston College. So if you want to take it back and rank Joker ahead of me I understand, lol.
You seriously won't be able to get it in until Monday morning? Ouch, that hurts. It may be a while until we get passed next week then because next week is bad for me to set up a user game as I have 2 tests and 2 papers due. I know that Blaze's schedule is sometimes really tough to work user games in as well so it may be a while before we can advance again then.

I know that Blaze's schedule is sometimes really tough to work user games in as well so it may be a while before we can advance again then.

These are my top 3(4?) based on what I've seen the last few years.
Find that pretty funny seeing as though i've finished in the top 2 the last 3 seasons in workers. but whatever.

Re: Workers 2011 Discussion Thread
I haven't played Clark yet so i don't know about his style but i did play Hicks in the championship once and his skills were as good as any coach i've faced. I think its kinda like paper scissors rock. Some coaches got other coaches number but for the most part anybody can beat anybody. (until somebody beats jhawk that is...)

Re: Workers 2011 Discussion Thread
I'd like to see other people's list as well. Everyone doesn't have to just attack splff's rankings. Do your own. Like I said, mine would be (not including myself)......
Rivals/Workers top 5
1. Joker - I've played him twice, and both times he has beaten me. He's the only user that I've played that I've never beaten (including previous versions of NCAA) other than Jhawk and we've only played once.
2. Ehicks - He is always in the national title picture. Seriously, try to remember the last time that he's had a season with more than one or two losses. Every time I play him I know it's going to be a good game. I don't know what the overall series is at, because we've played like 9-10 times, but I'd venture to say it's probably pretty close to even if it's not.
3. Jhawk - Here is someone that could easily be ranked higher, but I don't have enough of a survey sample to put him above the other two. Obviously he's very good though.
4. Splff - Again, I don't have a very large survey sample to go on, but he's very, very good. In the one game we played I had to mount a serious comeback to win.
5a. Clark - Like I've been saying, he's improved drastically over last year's game. His defense is solid as a rock and that's what keeps him on this list. Even though the only team that he's beaten me with is Alabama, a win is a win. He'll get a chance to move up this list if he can knock me off with Arkansas.
5b. Stoptherun - How does a user get on this list that's never beat me? Simple, every game that I've ever played against him has come down to the wire. We must have played 5-6 times last year and I don't think any of those games were decided by more than two touchdowns. Most of the games were decided by a score or even a couple of points.
I know I'm probably forgetting someone, but those are the guys that I know I'll get a good game from.
