Workers 2011 Discussion Thread

Splff Urban Hicks Jhawk Joker In no particular order.

Alright I'll do this. I'm not gonna include myself in these rankings.

1) jhawk

He hit this dynasty by storm and no one seems to be able to beat him. I've never played him, neither has clark, but urban and splff lost to him and he seems to be rolling. Apparently he can run the option/pass/play defense. Only reason I'm skeptical is I've never played him so I don't have a personal experience and am only basing this off his results/what other people have said.

2) dclark

Before people freak out and say I'm only putting him here because he's my buddy, think about it. Yah he's had a great team in Rivals but everybody else had a shot at taking Bama and didn't. So get mad at yourself for not picking them. I can't rank urban or splff here because he's 5-2 against them overall and now has beaten splff without Bama. He's also beaten me this year, something he couldn't do last year. If people don't think he's good then beat him, but this year (current seasons) he has 1 loss across 2 dynastys and that was to the computer.

3) Urban

I've only played him twice (once this year) and am 2-0 but he hasn't played his best game against me yet. I've seen him play clark live and he's a good player. Plus, results speak. He's only lost to me and clark in Rivals and jhawk in workers. Only reason he is behind clark is the 0-3 record. Once he starts beating those 3 users he'll have a serious argument for the best player in both leagues.

4) stoptherun

Only because he's gone to a championship and splff hasn't. Splff played me tougher in both games we've played this year, but stop seems to be more comfortable with his wisconsin team and I never played him here so it probably would have been a harder game. Really him or splff could be here and I'm not really sure who to go with, so I put stop here because he went to the championship game.

5) splff

He's probably the best game planner in the dynasty. He'll find your weakness and exploit it. He could be at the top but he has a losing record against jhawk, clark and urban. And like I said the only reason he is behind stop is cause stop went to the championship in workers.

I think 2-5 are very, very close and could change on a game to game basis. Until jhawk loses he's the clear #1. Even though I've never played him.


Honourable mention - hicks. Only played him once, last year's game, and beat him, but that was scfl. Haven't played him in rivals or workers. Only reason I didn't put him on the list is because he's not in both dynastys. But everyone knows hes a good player.

By the way stop if wisconsin loses and costs me my bet your off the list lol.

that special teams td is killing them. If they keep giving it to White they'll be ok. I wish he was that good on the game lol!

Excellent list, great points. I'm glad I brought this topic up. It's been kinda fun to read. Hopefully I can move a little further up that list after finishing the current seasons in the dynasties.

I agree. It is interesting seeing how people grade the other users of the OD.

Since everyone else is excluding themselves from their list, I'll edit my post and exclude myself as well. My new list looks like this:

1. jhawk
2. Joker
3. Urban

If I had to do 4th and 5th, like some of you did, I would add:

4. Stoptherun
5. Clark

Also, clark and stop, my list was based on even teams. It's not based on the teams that we have now. That's why you guys are not in the top 3, but both of you are definitely deserving of honorable mention.

Gotta play with the teams you chose.

You seriously won't be able to get it in until Monday morning? Ouch, that hurts. It may be a while until we get passed next week then because next week is bad for me to set up a user game as I have 2 tests and 2 papers due. I know that Blaze's schedule is sometimes really tough to work user games in as well so it may be a while before we can advance again then.

I guess I probably could play and put the redzone on PIP. Urbs said they are going out for the games or something so I don't know. Urbs talk to ho and see if their is some way we can get this in tomorrow so we can advance. Get back with me on ym cell cause I'm at work and my access to the computer is limited right now. this also requires everyone else to get their game in as well. I'd rather wait until monday but if everyone is willinf to knock their stuff out tonight/ tomorrow I can sacrifice a lil sleep or football watching to get it in.

I agree, play your rivals game. It's only the cpu and you can do that whenever. It's gonna be hard for ya'll to mingle tomorrow.

Ok 2 things real quick.

1st, me and ho are playing tomorrow at 11AM so if you guys can get your stuff done tonite or tomorrow that'd be great. I can get kid to advance for me when everybody's done. that way jusblaze and jhawk can get their game in and we won't have a long wait for the next advance.

2nd, clark you haven't done your write up for our game. just reminding you.

I haven't heard anything from blaze on our game, so we'll see how that goes.

I loved it. I woulda been upset if I needed it later on but turns out I didn't lol. Best believe I will be figuring out what the audible buttons are for onside kick lol. How did you like my 5 WR defense? From what I see there is only one defensive play that even comes remotely close to stopping that play and it worked both times against you. Of course the 2nd time you scrambled for a big gain. I guess that's one of the drawbacks of the play.

Hey if yall ain't going tomorrow I'd rather wait and play ho on Monday. That way I can get my sleep.

Nah, I can play. It needs to be in the morning. And if you see this in the next 30, I'll play now. Otherwise, I'll try to get up around 10 a.m. tomorrow and I can play until about 11...11:30 at the latest. Hoopefully we can make it happen.

Jesus. That was the worst passing I have ever experienced in a game. Beshears could not throw an accurate pass to save his life, and then on the rare occasion that he did, my receivers would fucking drop it when they were wide the fuck open. Beshears was 8 for 30 in this game. My running back, Rell Lewis and my defense won that game for me. If you have a good game with Martinez against blaze Urban, you could take over #1 on the Heisman list. Hell, Clay may pass me too.

Blaze, can you get our game in sometime tomorrow afternoon as well? That'll be the best time for me for the next few days.

I don't know when im getting home so yeah its probably a wrap til Tuesday.
