The 2013 offseason for our league has ended, so you know what that means right? Time to see who improved and who didnt improve. DISCLAIMER-This is only the opinion of my own, and please do not take it personal if I didnt write a lot about your team, just means that I didnt see all the moves you made. Also, a R next to player name means rookie. So lets begin
Offseason additions-CB Marcus Trufant, R CB Julian Brown, R DT Tyrone Stephins
The Bears over the years have been known for their great stout defense, but their secondary could always been improved. They improved this offseason, having Trufant playing alongside Tillman gives them a solid 1-2 at CB. R CB Brown wont be needed right away, but is a solid zone CB who can come in and help with the Bears cover two scheme. R DT Tyrone Stephins is a strong DT who is also quick. Playing with Peppers will only help Stephins growth.
Offseason additions-HB MJD, R HB D'Cota Bell, R WR Akia Green, R CB Rodney Maye
The Bengals made huge improvements by adding Jones-Drew, who can still be a elite RB, and his replacement in waiting in Bell who is all around back with elite speed. WR Akia Greem can catch, run routes, and is fast. Playing alongside AJ Green, Gresham, MJD and Bell gives the Bengals a potent offensive attack. On defense, CB Rodney Maye is a solid man CB who is quick, along with Clements and Hall, Maye gives them an solid nickel CB.
Offseason additions-R LT Kris Scavone,R LOLB Asa Davidson
The Bills struggled last season, but addressed some key areas. Scavone is already a solid pass and run blcoker that will provide immediate help on the line. Davidson, is a solid tackler, and has the ability to get to the QB. Along with Williams, should give the Bills a solid pass rush.
Offseason Additions- RT Brandon Albert, DE Tamba Hali, FS Kerry Rhodes, R HB Bull Griggs
The Broncos had a so-so season last season, so improvements were needed, and they did improve. They solidified their oline with Albert, which should help Osweller as he looks to improve. R HB Bull Griggs is a strong, quick, and can catch. Griggs provides them with another weapon on offense. On defense, they added Hali who is an elite DE/OLB. Alongside Miller and Dumervil, the Broncos can boast a great front seven. In the secondary they added FS Kerry Rhodes who can cover and bring run support.
Offseason Additions- WR Anquan Boldin, HB Michael Turner, LE Pernell McPhee, CB Sean Smith
The Browns started the season off to a great start, going 6-0. They however struggled offensively and finished 10-6, lost the division, and lost in the wildcard. Some changes were made, they moved a solid, but injury prone DqWell Jackon for CB Sean Smith, who is a great man corner to go along with Haden. They also trade for McPhee, who gives the Browns a young power DE along side Sheard, Rubin, and Taylor. On offense, the Browns upgraded their WR core by adding Anquan Boldin, and got Richardson a solid backup in Michael Turner.
Offseason Additions-R TE Ryan Johnson, R LE Adam Lansford
Johnson gives them a solid TE who can catch and block, Lansford is a DE who is quick.
Offseason Additions-R QB Jordan Norwell, WR Braylon Edwards
The Cardinals continued their search for a QB, and got one in Norwell who is a solid short to mid range thrower. Edwards give the Cards another WR to play alongside Fitzgerald.
Offseason Additions-R HB Jamel Ramsay, LE Robert Geathers, CB Leodis McKelvin
Ramsay gives the Chargers a quick, power back who can compliment Ryan Matthews. Geathers strengthens their dline as a pass rusher. McKelvin is a good CB, and can help in the return game.
Offseason Additions- WR Victor Cruz, FS Lamel Seawood
The super bowl champs Kansas City Chiefs, who saw that one coming? With a elite rushing attack behind a solid defense, the Chiefs had a great season. By adding Cruz, they add a elite WR to compliment their rushing attack, and on defense Lamel Seawood is a fast S who can cover.
WR Michael Jenkins, RG Brandon Moore, DE Luis Castillo
The Colts got back into the playoffs last season after a bad season before that. They drafted Andrew Luck and went from their. They added Jenkins who is a solid veteran WR, and Moore who is a solid blocker on the line. Castillo gives them a great power DE, who is also versatile.
Offseason Additions-WR Josh Cribbs, R C Zachary Rothkolber, R MLB Donta Brown
Cribbs is still a decent return guy, and can be a WR when he wants to be. Rothkolber is a solid run blocker who will help Murray find holes. Brown is a quick and big hitter at MLB who can also cover.
