I'd probably prefer now unless you got shit goin on. My day tomorrow is gonna be pretty busy. But it's whatever you want to do. Either way I'm sure we'll make it work.splff3000 wrote:jhawk886 wrote:So splff when do you want to abuse me with that freak QB?
lol, I ain't abusing anybody. You wanna go now or would sometime tomorrow be better? I'm good all day tomorrow til 3pm then I'm off to work. Let me know.
Sounds good. I'll see you on the field bra.splff3000 wrote:Ok give me 10 min or so to recruit then we can go now.
Really good game splff, I never want to go back to "The Jungle" again. My team played like they were in Pop Warner. My All-90's O-line was more porous than the US/Mexico border. And you're right turnovers did you in. But the same damn things happened to me too. That game was like fuck both of us over central. I turned the ball over twice in you territory and had multiple penalties that brought back huge plays (the option keeper clipping and first down holding penalty late in the game were the biggest). It was an extremely well played game defensively on both sides. I gotta give you props on your defensive scheme. It took me almost the whole first half to figure it out and even then I still couldn't score because of the crazy shit that happened.splff3000 wrote:Damn!! I shoulda had that one. I turned over twice on his side of the field, missed a fg, and got stop on 4th down on his side and was still in it till the end. ND won a defensive battle 10-3. It was a costly "get hit as you throw" int late in the game that did me in for good. The score was 0-0 for most of the game. Damn!! Damn!!! Damn!! Good game Hawk. I'll see you next year in South Bend.

Just seriously a great game man. I'll do a write up in the morning, I gotta hit the sack. See ya next year; hopefully, for my sake it's not quite so much a defensive struggle.

Cal got a pick 6 on the opening possession and another pick on the Longhorn's 3rd possession to set cal up with an early lead 14-7.
At this point star QB Rich Brooks was lost to injury but UT responded with a TD and a FG to take the lead for the first time. Texas would miss the extra point due to some laggy play and only go up 16-14.
Cal responded with a TD drive that included a ballsy 4th down call and left only six seconds on the clock.
UT tried desperately to score before the half but a hail Mary pass was caught and downed at the 1 and time expired with the longhorns precious inches from another score.
Cal got the ball to begin the 2nd half but fumbled the kickoff to set up a Texas FG that cut the lead to 2. Cal responded with a big run on a QB keeper and made the score 27-19 before the extra point.
Coach Osama then made a controversial decision to try for 2 instead of kicking to stretch the lead to two scores. The 2pt play failed and breathed new life into the Longhorns.
David Freeman took it in from 20 yards out and Texas added the deuce to tie the game @27.
Freeman then tacked on another TD to give Texas the lead back but on cal's next play from scrimmage, Johnson broke out on an 80 yard bomb to knot the score once again.
After Texas was forced to punt, our smallest player, 5'9" 161 LB true sophomore JJ Davis came up with a huge pick.
Texas needed a big 4th down conversion to freshman WR Dustin Johnson to keep the drive alive and UT finally punched in the go ahead TD with only :40 remaining.
With only one TO remaining Cal just didn't have enough time to score and UT escaped with the win.
Great game Osama I hate restarts and this one was no different. you guys played your hearts out.
We now hope Brooks can make it back to the field before the clash with #1 Florida.
