Tallahassee, FL -- Wisconsin comes from behind to steal a hard fought win at Doak Campbell Stadium. Once again senior tailback John Clay led the way with 29 carries for 165 yards and two TDs. Junior QB Curt Phillips also came up huge for the Badgers completing 11-13 passes for 261 two TDs and no picks.

It looked like the Badgers were headed for a second straight loss when FSU QB EJ Manuel hooked up with Bert Reed for a 90 yard TD strike that left Wisconsin down 11 with 1:32 left in the third. The FSU passing attack was firing on all cylinders as Manuel went 14-22 for 375 yards 3TDs and no picks.

Manuel had a particular chemistry going with TE Beau Reliford who had 3 catches for 124 yards and two huge TDs and especially Reed who totalled 7 catches for 169 yards and that game changing 90 TD.

However on the first play after the ensuing kickoff Curt Phillips found true freshman Steve Watson for an 81 yard TD which included a nice run after the catch to get it in the endzone. Recruiting buffs were all abuzz about Watson, who famoulsy backed out on his commitment to the Fighting Irish to sign with the Badgers in the final week of offseason recruiting.

With their lead trimmed down to four points, the Seminole offense that had been so potent earlier throught the air, switched to a more conservative ground attack to milk some clock. However the Badger defense stepped up forcing a punt and giving Wisconsin the chance to take the lead with a TD.

Phillips and Clay mounted a final drive that was capped off by a John Clay TD run from 5 yards out. FSU took over with 1:21 left, but they couldn't muster a first down and went went four and out. Clay came back on to get one final first down and Curt Phillips killed the rest of the clock out of the victory formation.

This was an extremely well played game. No turnovers, lots of nice calls and execution. A see saw slugfest that saw 7 scores that either resulted in a tie or a lead change. Look for FSU to make some noise in the ACC...

Yeah it was a good game but I tried to milk the clock a little to soon I should have kept running my offense.

Wisconsin deserved to win they made plays when they needed to.

Totally. I was suprised when u went vanilla there. Actually it was a good call but the false start on 3rd and 2 was killer. Then u still almost ran for the first! U called a good game.

Was close the whole game... Nebraxka took the lead for the first time late in the 3rd i believe. I tied then he went up by a touch. Threw a pick at the end (2:00) trying to comeback.... he could have scored again but just ran clock and kneeled to end the game... good shit Urbs I'll look forward to coming to Lincoln next season to exact my revenge lol
