Yeah good job TJ. Also good job to you and hawk with those last minute bids literally minutes before the advance. Hawk puts a bid in at 1:00 p est and TJ puts a bid in at 1:03pm est then hawk says FA bidding is over at 1:07pm est. This is after TJ said he was gonna close FA bidding at 12:30. Nice job fellas. One thing that I never did as commish was put a bid in at the last minute cause I didn't want someone accusing me of what ya'll did. There were several players I just let go cause I didn't want someone to think I cheated them. I know at least a few times I told the person I was bidding against that I outbid them lol. I guess it's all good tho. Have fun with your players.

Also wanna remind people to post your adds and drops in the transaction thread. If you're picking someone up, make sure they aren't on waivers first. It doesn't hurt to double check the transactions thread for the posts in the last 24 hours when picking someone up.

FA was closing +/- 10 around 1 pm (as hawk posted), towards the tail end of FA I had 2 points, was looking over guys the last few minutes and noticed Shooter bid on a WR I had a point towards and that gave me 3, didn't find anyone else to use it on so I put it on Lloyd.

If it's that big of a fucking deal, I'll give you the fucking punter, I don't really need him.

I can see how ppl would feel like that. Sure you said that things were ending within a 20 min window, but only you knew when that would be. FA potentially could have been closed when you made your bid, but that was your decision to make.

Obviously saying you aren't allowed to make late bids would put you, at a disadvantage that other users wouldn't experience.

Who the fuck is gonna see that? A bunch of people asked you over the past few days when is fa bidding gonna end and your response pretty much everytime was sometime Wednesday morning. Then in the dark of the night, you say it ends tomorrow afternoon. I looked at the bids at about 11ish this morning and figured I was straight since I was leading and free agency was gonna end.

As for the punter, that shit don't matter cause I couldn't have outbid you for him anyway. It's pretty shady saying all week that the advance would end Wednesday morning sometime then switching it to noonish, then in the middle of the night changing the time to 1pm. All this over Christmas holidays. Who the fuck is gonna keep up with that shit? Maybe I'm overreacting (as usual), but something just doesn't sit right with me when the commish and the person running FA bidding get last minute bids in over everybody. Leaving 7 min and 4 min respectively for someone else to get a bid in before it closes. If you were gonna be doing that shit, maybe you should have made FA bidding end in the evening sometime so people can be huddled around their computers to get their bids in after your bid during the 5 min window that you leave before closing.

How about next time you give us an exact time that it will end instead of saying sometime in the morning, or noonish, or approx 1pm? If a very late bid comes in for a player, extend the bidding for that player for an hour and close it for everyone else. This isn't like XFN were you have no control over when the player goes onto a roster. You can extend FA bidding for one player for hours upon hours if you want without hurting the vast majority of the league. I understand this is the first time we're doing this so I'm not too bitter about it, but I just didn't like the way that all went down. I'd like to see us improve on our system the next time we do this. I might be in the minority here, but you know I don't care. I'm gonna say how I feel about it lol.

If everyone knew it was "noonish" and for me noon is 1 pm et remember? I don't get your comment about "who is going to see it because it was late night", um, anyone who gets on the boards to bid? If you got on the forum sometime this morning to make a bid before it closed, you should've seen the post I made last night.

Anyways, I'm fine with tweaking how we do it or whatever but I'm not going to have a sliding deadline for certain players who receive late bids; shit could go on forever. The bidding deadline is the bidding deadline. That's why I didn't make it exact so someone can't bid and get somebody for sure with like 10 seconds left because they knew it was gonna close.

And as far as TJ's bid, afaik he bid late because shooter overbid him late; freeing up points for him to use. Shooter likes to wait until close to the very end and tj bid late because of shooter's actions.

It should b one set time like in real life. Mfers abuse the system period.
