Nope, you can absolutely handle it next season. I gave you 7 home games bc you played 5 users. The rest, I have no excuse for.

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
Alright, that's fine; and the home/away reason is understandable. Again, I'm sorry if I came off harsh but I was just really looking forward to this season and now...not so much.urbanslegend05 wrote:Nope, you can absolutely handle it next season. I'm not great at setting up the schedules, (just ask Clark, he has back to back byes in my OD lol) but I am pretty good at working within the fucked up framework that EA gives us to come out with decent schedules. If you would like me to do it, when the time comes, I'll need your log in stuff of course, but I'll also need any guidelines that you typically follow, unless they're basically the same as what splff did cuz that's what I do too.

Yeah, I'll hoook you up man. These just got fucked up bc I had to change them so many times. I do feel bad for clark going there 3 times in a row though. I guess you'll just have to go to Bama three times in a row now.

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
Texas goes into the Swamp and takes out the Gators 35-25.
Gainesville, GA-- The Longhorns came into this week one showdown and ran all over the Gators with 355 yards and 5 TDs on the ground. Option QB Steve Concepcion ran his packages to perfection rushing for 124 yards and 2 TDs on 9 carries and Traylon Shead lived up to the Heisman hype going for 211 and 2 TDs on 26 carries.
Sophomore QB Michael Taylor completed 7 of 11 for 99 yards and soph RB Deonte Simmons added a TD on a punishing short yardage run.
The story of the game however was the maturation of the Texas defense which set the tone on the first possession of the game with a big stop on 3rd and 1 deep in their own territory. The Gators settled for a FG and the score would soon be 21-3.
Trey Burton was just getting started however and two huge TD passes cut the lead to 21-17 at halftime. Burton was both the gift and the curse for the Gators this game as he rushed for 122 yards on 15 carries and had 284 yards passing and 2 tds. Unfortunately for the Gators he also threw 4 costly picks and wildly threw the ball out of bounds on several option plays.
After a scoreless 3rd quarter the squads swapped TDs and the Gators converted a 2pt play to cut the lead to three. Traylon Shead responded by going 59 yards on an iso play and that would be all the cushion the Longhorns would need.
Texas is off next week before putting their 15 game home winning streak on the line against the upstart USC Trojans.

I've got to get to work on stopping the option. That has killed me more than once now, and I vow not to let that ever happen again. Stop totally exposed me that game.

Damn, considering the fucked up schedules, the addition of a new person (maybe) and the new recruiting rules this season, we should just restart this thing from the beginning.......oh, and I lost my first game, so I'd be down. Lol.

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
Um...you talking restart as in reload the save file from the preseason? Or completely restart the dynasty back in season 2011?urbanslegend05 wrote:Damn, considering the fucked up schedules, the addition of a new person (maybe) and the new recruiting rules this season, we should just restart this thing from the beginning.......oh, and I lost my first game, so I'd be down. Honestly, I would definitely be down for going back to the preseason, I just didn't want to ask that because I didn't want everyone to have to reset their redshirts and recruiting boards and everything.
As far as restarting completely, I'm kinda of against it if the former is an option. If it's not, then I'm indifferent. I would hate to lose all the work I've put into this team, but Notre Dame is a default 6 stars anyways, so it wouldn't take me that long to rebuild them.

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
I don't have the save file from the offseason, so I was talking a complete reboot, but I don't want to throw that idea out there after a loss. Now, if everyone started jumping at the idea, I wouldn't be completely against it.

Damn, these sliders will be interesting. You bumped up the CPU's side a little bit, but you bumped up USER sliders a ton, hopefully it doesn't actually make it easier.

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
Well shit, lol. I want to go to week 2 before I cast my vote to see how many of my guys instant commit somewhere else lol. Cuz if half my board is gone, then I'm fucked. Without a rival game to schedule guys for I have no chance at landing any of the top recruits.urbanslegend05 wrote:I don't have the save file from the offseason, so I was talking a complete reboot, but I don't want to throw that idea out there after a loss. But in addition, we don't even know if jared actually wants to join or not. So that should probably be determined before we vote on a reboot or not. And if he did join as a PAC-10 team then he'd have at least 1 user game that we could put him on auto for if need be. The Jhawk rule could serve it's purpose, lol. Now it would be really ironic if he took Stanford too.

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
The reboot thing is really more of a joke since I lost. I'm not really down with rebooting. Although, I will be letting you do the schedules next season. Now if everyone in here started asking for a reboot, I wouldn't be super mad, lol.

Alright, that's fine. I just hope the Irish have some good recruits interested in them come offseason, cuz I'm gonna need them badly.urbanslegend05 wrote:The reboot thing is really more of a joke since I lost. You may only sign up to 73 men on your roster. So basically it's a seniors leaving, plus 3 rule.
