I'm in that boat too. My backup qb is on my kick off team. Lol. I haven't cut anyone since joining this dynasty. This will be my first year recruiting more than 7 people. I think I had like 55 players but not sure.

I have the same problem lol I have a bunch of guys in the 40s and I probably only have 60 guys on my roster if that. Last years class was good but the two previous years I was ranked 90 or higher, really hurting me now hence why I have like 5 true freshman starting lol

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
Well, I have no problem recruiting , but Urbs, I think you could do a limit of seniors leaving + 3 + whatever is needed to get to 70. That way guys like pops and NYer can get a full squad. I don't know about the walk on players though. I guess that's where the +3 would come in. For every +3 recruits you sign that's 3 walk ons that will most likely get cut. Anyway, I'm just throwing ideas out there.

This shit is crazy. We're not fucking newbie retards. We should be able to figure out recruiting after 2-3 months...especially w/ Oklahoma and Penn State, which are traditional recruiting powers.Joker12 wrote:I have the same problem lol I have a bunch of guys in the 40s and I probably only have 60 guys on my roster if that. I just can't get it done on Heisman though. I'd like to think its not my problem, but maybe I'm dumber than I think. If not, then something is wrong w/ the way recruiting works as it pertains to 6* schools OR these new rules will help even things out.

I lose all my players to Texas lol not sure what I can do about that. Example the #1 runningback soft commits to me, watches me
beat Texas, then changes his mind and hard commits
to Texas lol. Unreal.

You just stole a nice 3* SS I needed. So, you got that going for you.
You guys have to read this. I just posted it on Jhawks' site too. Keep in mind the source, but it certainly looks like they compiled info from a bunch of sources and it looks like they've done a nice job of reporting. Sorry Splff. This shit is fucking crazy. It will take some time to read, but worth it. This is the most in depth look into recruiting shenanigans I've personally ever seen.

Wow that's insane. If that's all true or even partially true, wow, I don't even know, college football is gonna explode.

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
I don't think there is a way in hell that Auburn gets kicked from the SEC even if the whole thing is true. So, the fact they were talking about that as if it were almost a done deal leads me to believe that was more than a little biased "reporting" or rather aggregation of reporting plus a little cut and paste from anonymous posters on rival message boards. Still though, there has to be a little fire there w/ all that smoke.Joker12 wrote:Wow that's insane. I thought it was possible Cam wasn't fully aware or at least wasn't on board w/ it and his dad was just an asshole. Now it looks like Cam was more than aware. Although, I still feel his dad is an F-in greedy bastard and was probably driving this whole thing.

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
I'm not going to lie and say my interest wasn't waning for a bit due to a number of factors...partly family and party that I'm in 4 of these ODs now. Its becoming a job and I'm losing track on what's going on in each. I plan on dedicating myself to maybe 2 and dropping 2...1 first and then see how it goes. I'm in a pinch though, because in the OD I'm least interested in I'm WVU...and its my only WVU OD. I have to be WVU in one so I can't drop that one unless I change in another. I can't change in my 2 others due to the rules. So, that leaves this one. It would be weird to go back and forth to the same school, but I wanted to see if that was cool w/ you and everyone else.urbanslegend05 wrote:Damn, there's activity on the board. I checked WVU out and it is a serious reclamation project, but I'm be way more into that then using Penn State. I know this is supposed to be about Rivals, but I'd like to keep my rivalries w/ the coaches I played this and last year, but just as WVU and not Penn St. I'd rather deal w/ the Big East and shittier recruiting than to lose interest altogether.
Would you be cool w/ that? If so, I can play out the season in this other OD and then drop it. I might drop Va Tech in this other one too, but I've built Va Tech into a power and Stop and Joker are in there. I feel like I'd be more into it just being in 2 though.

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
Well, since we're obviously going to have to replace Kid and Hicks following the season either way, I don't have a problem if you want to move to West Virginia.
I've been hoping that someone would have some recommendations on people that would be good for our pace and interaction, but I haven't heard anything yet. Maybe someone will chime in soon before the seasons over so we can run right into it. If not, I'll have to search some guys out through message boards.

Well I would give you some guys if I could even find enough to fill up my OD lol. We have 10 right now, and probably will stay at 10 even with blaze joining cuz I think I'm gonna have to boot somebody. I'll let you know though if we get anybody who I think would want to join over here too.

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
That's cool Hawk. I know how hard it gets this time of year to have committed players. I was just telling splff that we need a couple more like you and we'd be good for a long while. We've got a very solid group here and we'll always have a solid group of owners to start out seasons, it's just in the latter months that things get a little harder. I'm here as long as you guys are though.
BTW, does anyone ever see Oriolesmaniac88 around anymore. He was always solid, but I didn't see him this year.

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
That's right! Florida State does it again. The first half was dominated by the Seminole defense picking off two option pitches, one of which was returned 30 yards for a touchdown. They also ended a Notre Dame drive with an interception.
The offense was also doing work, son. Scoring on all of their first half drives. The second play of the game was a 72 yard pass from Hooper to Dent. Followed by a field goal, an option recovery for touchdown, and a 1 yard fullback dive for touchdown. 24-0 at the half.
Notre Dame managed to make it respectable in the 4th going on a 99 yard drive for touchdown after two option plays that averaged 40 yards. State started to get a little tooooo conservative and failed to score any points in the second half, but held on to their lead. Final: 24-12
gg hawk..u made it a game..that first onside kick was scary..but u definitely didnt give up and had a chance to win it

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
After a tough win against Texas A&M, Oklahoma takes Texas Tech to the cleaners with a 51-15 ass kicking. The #22 ranked Red Raiders fumbled the ball an astonishing 8 times with Oklahoma recovering 6. Brennan Clay had the game of his career with 308 rushing yards on 17 carries, finding the end zone 5 times. He had touchdown runs of 21, 63, 48, 76 and 56. Tom Wort may have clinched the defensive player of the year award with a 16 tackle performance. He recorded 1 sack, forced 2 fumbles and a safety. "I know some guys around the league may have better numbers," Joker said, "but if you look at the number of tackles this guy has and also look at the inexperience of the other guys around him, he's the main reason we only have 1 loss right now." Other players forcing fumbles include true freshman Marcus Love, Erik Barry, true freshman Adam Wayne, Maurice Barber, Eric Humphrey and Lawrence Finley. Oklahoma clinches the Big 12 South with the win. They have a bye next week before traveling to Ohio to face the #9 Buckeyes, their last regular season game.

The more i smoke on this peach flavored Swisher Sweet, i tell ya this league is pretty nice.. Forgive me for not posting stuff on here more or offering more replies, but most believe you me and i see all that is posted on here and i sit back and ponder on it and take it all in stride and sum into distant weed smoking thanking.. Its kool thoough, do ya thang, but shoot ya movie over that you heard him...
But i digress...
Good luck to all in on the way to the National Title game, and one last thang...

I like this Rauloe cat. Dude's hilarious.
And thanks Urbs. I'll just let Penn State play out w/ the hopes of a bunch of shit happening and me making to the NC game. I doubt I'll be able to do much w/ WVU's recruiting at this point any way. I'll try and get whatever done I can in off season. Then I'll play out the season in this other OD...thing I'm in the NC there...and drop it.

We promised his dad $80,000 to sign, then $50,000 30 days later, and another payment of $50,000 30 days after that.

Yeah good game ho. Just too many stupid mistakes for me. Would've came right down to the wire without those intercepted options.
Stop, if you can get your game in today in CFF we can advance. I noticed you haven't been around since the loss so you're probably still pissed, but I thought I'd just see if there was any way you could play. If you can't it's no big deal, I'd just like to know. Thanks.

How are we looking here? I'm gonna play tonight when I get home from work and hopefully I'll be last. Then we can have an advance for the weekend.
Hawk, I was on my way home from work and Ho was like it's 24-0, and I told him to watch it. I know you're not one to give up on games, kinda like when you came back on me with Kansas. Gotta give you props for your no-quit attitude.
