Re: Rivals sliders
Its hard for me to suggest anything else. Some are getting decent games against he CPU, some arent.

Re: Rivals sliders
I think that, along with the lowering of CPU int, will help because guys who are running the ball at will against the CPU still will be able to do it, guys who are struggling with turnovers should have their offense on the field more since the INTs wont be happening 7 times a game hopefully.

Hey, check these sliders out, nothing is drastically altered and so far two test games with them have turned out pretty smooth, no turbo charged CPU bullshit.

Re: Rivals sliders
To answer your question spliff, these exact sliders are basically the result of someone taking N51s set, adjusting it for their OD, me taking their set and adding two tweaks to it after my first test game.
I am playing my third game iwth these right now.
I am stanford at USC
Halftime, I am winning 24-14
I have 200 yards of offense, they have 120. I have 3 penalties, they have 5. They scored first with a pick return TD and then the following kickoff I returned for TD so scoring pace was high off the get go but has leveled off.
I kinda like the tackling I see. Guys arent getting wrapped up right away but they also arent shrugging off 9 tackles per play, to me it looks natural and guys slide into place nicely.
Note: For all of my CPU games I use a house rule that I never call 4-vert, ever, in fact in my CPU game playbook I have it removed from every formation but one, and its only in that one because that formation doesnt have the cheese slot route its just 3 streaks.
Note 2: Not saying this set is perfect, but, we gotta get moving in the right direction, the 100 point games are getting old. I am tryign to find a way for all users to win the games they should without it being too hard or twoo easy either way.

Re: Rivals sliders
Question:
This might not be a popular decision, but I cant help but ask this:
There is another way to lower scores and stats without touching a slider...its adjusting QTR length.
IF we still are getting games where both teams are netting 600+ yards of offense per, we might want to lower QTRs to 7 minutes...
Just a thought

I agree that the games have definitely been high scoring. Hopefully these sliders can rectify that.

Re: Rivals sliders
Hey Jared, I think lowering the user tackle and raising the cpu rb ability to 60 is a lil overpowering. I'm seeing crazy runs similar to the end of last year..... from Alabama's back up RB. AJ McCarron ran over 2 of my guys also. I'm gonna put it to 50 and see what it looks like.

Re: Rivals sliders
I ended up with a pretty good game, final score 45-41. The stats were even, like 420 yards to 450 yards. Offense still a little high but...I mean, I don't know what to do about that. THe game felt pretty good.
I use conservative tackling and didn't see anything too crazy but I am all for whatever...I definitely want the CPU to be able to run the ball but we can figure it out.

Re: Rivals sliders
Ok, I Just saw that USCs back averages 8.9 yards a carry. Didnt feel like he did but the stats dont lie. So yeah, maybe tackling should go up.
Should we put it back to 50 or try 45?

Re: Rivals sliders
50 may be too low. I haven't seen him break a tackle since I moved it to 50. I'm gonna play a lil longer then maybe put it to 55. On a sidenote, everything else seems cool. I can actually get some kind of rush with 4 down lineman. I haven't got a sack yet, but they are putting pressure on the QB.

Changed RBA
Also, I'm having a lil too much time to throw the ball. I think I'm gonna put rba to 55 at user pb back to 50

Re: Rivals sliders
I just plugged in the penalties and am gonna plug in the sliders now.
I will check back here before I advance it.
You really think we should lower PB? My first test game I wasnt sacked once against Ohio State but USC sacked me 5x in my third test game

Re: Rivals sliders
I kinda like CPU RBA at 60, tackling at 50. I saw the CPU RB make some nice cutback and pull a stutter step move I havent seen on default

I also don't like decreasing human pass accuracy bc I am still missing a lot but that could just be bc my qb sucks

Trust me user PA is alright at 40. I jsut torched Alabama for 330 yds. I only missed like 4 passes all game.
EDIT: I missed 6. I'm looking at the stats now. 18-24 327yds 3TDs 2ints.

Re: Rivals sliders
Yeah, CPU pass coverage is also lowered to 40 with INTs at 40 so it evens out.
Spliff
I have it all set as originally posted except HUM tackling at 50 instead of 40.
Should I adance it or do you think anything else needs to be changed right now?

Yeah maybe put cpu pass coverage to 45. It was quite easy getting those completions.

Re: Rivals sliders
Ok.
So, sliders as I posted except HUM tackling at 50 and CPU pass coverage to 45.
We cool with that?
