well im going to run with some default sliders then see how it works and bout the rosters we can't get a accurate image until the real football season start but if you think it will make the OD better i will think about it

I realize that we could just wait a day or two for the named rosters before getting started but I feel like it would go a long way if we waiting a few extra days for the more realistic 4 years of dynasty to start out. With guys like Pryor needing to be taken off Ohio State, a number of teams being too stacked by default, I think the rosters would be a pretty worthwhile thing to wait for. Especially when I know EA leaves out a number of recruits each year due to limited roster size and I the roster makers usually get these guys on there. I know PSU and Notre Dame for example had really good defensive classes though I am sure when I get the game only 5-6 of those guys will be on the roster out of the box. Plus we don't need another Alabama All-99s in the dynasty do we?

Well, I don't know what Urbs will do this year, but I made the same plea last year to no avail. If he does like last year, he will get the first named rosters he can find then start the OD.

I'm gonna tell you how default sliders work........they don't. There hasn't been one version of Madden or NCAA that didn't need some type of slider adjustment. Judging from early impressions, there will definitely have to be some adjustments for pass rush. There may be other things too, but we'll have to wait for the game to see it all.

The first thing I am doing when I get the game is a series of Play Now games for sliders. I am going to play a game default settings write the stats down and go from there.
I know it is wise to wait a few games before tweaking stats and averaging out the numbers but I am going to tweak after each one and once I get 6 or 7 games in hopefully have a base set I can post somewhere and get impressions on.
I agree with Spliff about pass rushI even told Yunj a while ago when we were first talking about his league, the first thing I am going to look at in sliders is pass rush for both sides of the ball. I think I get sacked 5 times a year even with the sliders in the dynasty we have now, that needs to be upped. If the CPU can't get pressure consistently we will never have a challenge.
Who knows how the game will play but I anticipate a -25 drop to human pass block after the first game.
Question, are we going to want to start out on heisman or AA?

Oh, and as for rosters, yeah its urbs call on that. I know we are all going to be fired up to get the OD rockin but like I said, I really think that 4-5 extra days of waiting will result in a more enjoyable first 4-5 seasons of dynasty....

Yea splff i agree ever since i played the game the sliders have been wacky. Its either have the cpu cheat (Heisman) or have the cpu play like they in high school (AA and below) What i was saying i was going to start with a base them make adjustments untill it plays good enough to have good games but not so much that the cpu is cheating you every game. But im going to try AA and then make them tougher. When i had my OD back in the day we had some AA sliders that was really good. Basically the Cpu made plays but your defense and offense seemed to not be standing around as much. But there was some Robo QB and RB moments where they turn super human but they didnt happen every play so the cpu gave good games

yea my team got blew off the field but the speed and physical play of your team. Then my best WR got knocked out and my o-line didnt do my QB or RB and favors so it was another tough day on the job lol

Yeah plus field position was killer all day. I think battle may have ended up with over 250 all purpose yards in the game. He was pivotal and when I can get him the ball a game changer. Wish I could have gotten it to him a little more vs jared

yea my defense is very shotty when they play good they continue to play good but if they come out cold they usually never get into the game. But that intercepted pitch i caught kind was unexpected lol but it was to little to late because you had all the momentum and we kept sputtering

Just played my game, how the hell did Cal pass me in the rankings? Well not we got 3 undefeated teams with one user game left...shouuuuuuuuld but interesting.
I hope next year we get tougher sliders for HUM rushing, I just had 38 carries for 450 yards. I literally couldn't end the game they kept getting blown the fuck away on defense. It was so bad I almost just dived down on purpose just to get out of the game and move on with my day.

The worst part about working in education is that I ain't getting paid for the next 3 months. Every year I scramble to find any sort of work. One year I was a doorman at a fucking dive bar in Pacific Beach.
Well 2 weeks from today the NCAA 12 demo comes out. Of course I am excited for the demo and I think it will be fun but honestly I am not that fired up about it only because I know it isn't going to be of a late version of the game, they submitted the demo like over a month ago, so I know it will have issues that will hopefully be already fixed by EA
