Washington opens up their new season on a high note, beating the Bengals 56-42. The new look Redskins were in complete control the whole way showing they still have an explosive offense despite trading RG3. Brett Ray dissected Ciny's revamped defense and the running game was their all day. New comers Julio Jones put in a workman's day 5 grabs for 107 and Stanford Routt (traded from the chiefs) had two interceptions. If they can patch up their secondary they could be an early favorite to recapture their East division.

    Week 2: Redskins V Giants

This one was over before the kickoff... New QB Brett Ray continues to help ease the minds that RG3 was traded during the offseason and the new pieces around him also acquired from the trade are also falling in line. Julio Jones added another big 3 grabs and 1 touchdown and the defense picked up their game after a late collapse vs the Bengals and held the Giants in check. Roy Helu and Pierre Thomas added a quiet 125 yards to keep the Giants honest all day. 38-7 Redskins. A huge win towards the Skins first goal, capturing the NFC East crown.

Redskins keep up the news resigning OLB Ryan Kerrigan 5 years 25 million, Julio Jones 5 years 42 million. Also they lock up the streaky Roy Helu to a modest 4 years 6 million. Deangelo Hall turned down a reported 2 year 13.5 million dollar deal. It is likely he will be either franchised or traded.

In other news FS Jordan White returns from injury to form a deep safety duo for the Redskins.

Redskins roll over Dallas 61-7... Improve to 3-0 and quickly becoming a powerhouse in the NFC. A big game vs the Saints in week 4 will give us more information on who the Redskins are this year.

Week 4 at New Orleans :

Another week passes with very similar results. Redskins offense led by Brett Ray jumps out to a fast lead and then the Redskins pass rush and playmakers knock out the opponent. 31-7 at half and 45-7 at one point Drew Brees was harassed all day by Orakpo. Often looking for Jimmy Grahm he was forced into 2 picks which could have easily been six. Roy Helu led the charge rushing and by the 4th qtr it was in the bag. 48-14 REDSKINS! Next week vs Philadelphia for sole possession of first place in the East.

    Week 5 V Eagles:

Redskins continue to steam roll inside the division winning their 9th straight win inside the NFC East and improve to 5-0. Eagles QB Danny Martens never was comfortable and ended up throwing three interceptions and looked like a young QB all afternoon. Lesean MCcoy was the one bright spot for Philly today scoring on a 1 yard run. For the Redskins Brett Ray threw his second interception of the year to MLB Demarco Ryans but added to his MVP season with 5 touchdown passes, connecting twice with Julio Jones. 49-10 Redskins.

    Week 6 V Panthers:

Redskins jump out to a big lead vs Carolina, leading 28-7 but the pesky Panthers wouldn't go away and eventually came within 3, 31-28 with Cam Newton's uneven but stubborn performance. However, with the Panthers closing within three, Brett Ray came back out and put the final nail in the coffin with a beautiful deep touchdown pass(his 5th) to the exciting but young speedster Donfred Boyett to make it 38-28 late in the fourth. Redskins 38-28.

    Week 8 @ Arizona

Washington travled to the desert undefeated and left with another huge W. The vaunted Redskin defense wasn't able to slow down QB Jordan Norwell as he threw for 560 yards and 6 TDs, but they were able to confuse him enough into throwing 3 costly interceptions 1 being returned all the way. For the Reskins they were able to establish their menacing run game and Helu led the charge with over 200 yards including an 82 yard scamper in which he juked out all pro DB Patrick Peterson inside the 15.

The Cardinals actually gained their first lead of the game with just over two minutes left 45-42. What followed next was pure clutch by 2nd year Qaurterback Brett Ray; connecting with Leonard Hankerson for a 20 yard dart on the second play of the drive that he took the rest of the way for the 79 yard game winning touchdown. A costly fumble by Brian Banks on the ensuing return all but ensured the game was over, Roy Helu pounding down the door for his 3rd and final touchdown. Redskins 56-45.

Redskins keep on rolling. Brett Ray has led Washington to an amazing 14-0 start including some big time wins over the Giants, LIONS (72-13) and most recently vs the young Buccaneers squad. Lamel Seawood is becoming the physical presence in the secondary they were hoping he'd be, including 7 ints and a missed fg returned for a td(vs Detroit). Roy Helu has been constant on the ground with over 1700 yards.

With only 2 games remaining they face every coaches nightmare, staying healthy in these "exhibition" games. Do they go for the undefeated season or start resting guys? Coach Dom Capers had this to say, " these guys want to play, and they get paid to play, so were gonna keep rolling no matter the game or score."

There you have it league, the Redskins plan to keep rolling, next up is RG3 and Atlanta. Early predictions : 44-17 WAS

The Redskins have advanced to the NFC title game improving to 17-0. Although trade rumors have been swirling about the future of some star players, they're focus hasn't waive red one bit. Quarterback Brett Ray has been quoted saying, " what happens next year happens, we have a game tonight vs Detroit and we plan on taking care of business." Detroit @ Washington for the right to play Houston in the Super Bowl, tonight!

Redskins move to 5-0 after dismantling the tony romo led Chicago bears 59-3. On the 2nd play of the game all pro free safety lamel seawood dislodged the ball from tight end Dallas Clark(broken collar bone) on a bone jarring hit. The ball was recovered by earl Williams and the blow out was one. Brett ray had his first stellar performance of the year(6 tds and removed at half time) and new comer Larry Fitzgerald had 6 rec for 150 2tds. Marvin Ingram applied pressure opposite Brian orakpo and in all the team had 8 sacks. Next up is a trip to Green Bay to face the struggling Packers.

Redskins roll through Green Bay 56-7. Brett Ray tossed 4 tds to 4 different receivers and the defense played lights out. Packers installed a heavy blitz attack which had mixed results, sacking Ray 5 times but was gouged by the big play. Deangelo Hall made the highlight play for the defense jumping an Aaron Rodgers pass and returned it 39 yards for the dagger touchdown. 25 straight wins for Washington with the Cowboys up next. Last year Washington out scored Dallas 127-7 in their two meetings, let's mark up another W next week.

Washington went into Dallas and Lamel Seawood set the tempo on the first play forcing a jack Hanna fumble recovered by McCain. Brett Ray threw for over 400 yards and 3 tds, Larry snatching 9 receptions for 160 and a highlight back of the end zone Td. The real hero today was Roy Helu and his 4 rushing tds on just 14 carries. The defense brought their A game as usual holding Dallas to 7 PTs and forcing 5 turnovers. 59-7 Washington. Next up is the underrated Denver Broncos; could they be the team to end the streak? Stay tuned next week to find out.
