10 minutes for recruiting? When we'll be doing both dynasties at the same time? You may not need muich time to recruit since you got 24 5 stars already committed but not all of us are in that same boat.

ill need about 20 min the first week to get new guys on the board but after that it shouldnt take much more than 10 minutes if you're making more than 15 calls at this point you're in trouble anyway!
BTW i saw you comment on the 5 wide then run burton thing clark and while its annoying because its so hard to stop i cant say i have an issue with it, burton is an awful passer and he has 90 spd theres plenty of teams in RL like auburn and ohio st that do the same thing with similar qbs
anyways im good for 10 on wednesday i would like to not be up till 2 am though since i also have to work thursday
im excited to get next season started, ill be in the title game again just so everyone knows and i wont throw it away again so watch out!

I'm glad to see people starting to warm up to mobile QBs w/in reason. I've seen everyone absolutely crush anyone that remotely moves their QB around...not because it isn't done in real life, but because people absolutely abused it online. I experienced the backlash a few years back when Pat White was on the game. I couldn't buy an online game as WVU, because everyone assumed I'd be running sideline to sideline.
And on a lighter note, due to that INT you threw in the NC game you may never throw it again. KIDDING...just trying to lighten it up after the discussion earlier this week.

BTW, if anyone wants to look at the replay of Burton running, I posted it. I didn't roll out. It was straight up the middle.

I'm with ehicks here. That first week, I need more than 10 mins to find recruits and fill my board. The ensuing weeks though are just calls so that shouldn't take longer than 10min.
You also have to remember that we may be doing the offseason in workers at or close to the same time so people may need a lil time.
I do have one question though, why does the offseason have to be finished before you leave? It seems like you're putting a lot of stress into getting it done before you leave. You are coming back, right? I'm just wondering because I'm pretty sure with us starting at 10 that kid won't be able to finish before he has to go to sleep. I was just wondering wassup with all the rushing.

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
Well, I'm trying to get the season started, because I don't want everyone to have to wait until Saturday to start the season. If we can get done with the recruiting Wednesday night, I can open up the next phase Wednesday night, advance again, Thursday night, and get to the preseason Friday. That will give me all Friday night to set up the schedules and I can let ya'll start on Saturday and advance to week 2 on Monday when I get back. As long as we can do the recruiting on Wednesday, that shouldn't be any problem.

FYI...Splff and i are trying to connect again, but not having any luck. He said there was a thread on OS where it says everyone seems to be having the same issue. We're waiting around until 10:15 EST and then hanging it up again.
So, I'm not sure what the deal might be for tomorrow. We're in chat not trying to find a time for tomorrow if this doesn't get fixed tonight.

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
Well I've only got 12 commits in here with Notre Dame, and I have 11 commits in Workers with KU. I will probably keep pursuing all 10 of the recruits currently on my board in the offseason, plus whichever recruits I decide to add that join the pool. So I may be making close to 15 calls or more, and while I may concede that I "may be in trouble" I have the worst team in each league and am building up the programs. Everybody else may not need as much time for each stage of the offseason as me and I apologize if I hold it up a little bit. But I see no reason why I or anyone else should be forced to skip stages, or not be able to complete stages, because we want to advance quickly.ehicks009 wrote:jhawk886 wrote:10 minutes for recruiting? I totally understand that we have waited on stop, and I have no problem with that. But I and most everyone else has been ready to go for a couple of days now and so we shouldn't be punished and see our teams and programs suffer because you want to shove this through ASAP. I want to get on to next season as much as everyone else.
There are seven of us I believe that are in both dynasties. Both Workers and Rivals will more than likely be doing the offseason simultaneously and as such 10 minute advances are not realistic. I will need more than 5 minutes per dynasty to get my team ready to advance to the next stage. We normally do 12-24 hours, and I would love to get through with it tomorrow night. But I'll be available all day, and all night, (just like I have been the past 4 days) and if we don't start until late tomorrow night, I don't think it's right to have to skip stages because we want to rush through it.
I'll try to be as fast as possible. I'll be totally focused on getting my stuff done, I won't do anything else until we're all done or we stop for the night, but I just don't want to get screwed because we are rushing advances.

Yeah, it's looking more and more like we're gonna have to play at 730 tomorrow evening. I don't know what's going on tonite but no one can even get into the od tonite. Fucking EA!!

I agree jhawk. That's why I was asking why the rush? I mean we've waited on people plenty of times in both OD's so if we had to wait on Urbs and ho to get back before we finished the offseason, I don't see a problem with it. Apparently urbs doesn't want us to have to wait on him and that's cool, but I'd rather be able to take my time and search through these new recruits without having to rush for fear of the next advance before I get my board like I want it. We're starting at 10pm as it is and that's pretty late already. Some people are gonna have to go to bed. We should just deal with that.
I say start wednesday night and get what we can get done wednesday then go to 12 hr advances after that. If we have to wait for urbs and ho to get back, oh well. It's not the end of the world. This is just the way I see things tho. I'm pretty sure there are some on the complete opposite side of the fence from me. That's cool. I just wanted voice my opinion.

On a brighter note, WVU picks up two nice bball commits this week and is putting together a nice recruiting class. Nice headline on the front page of the ESPN bball section too. I wish I could get the name Huggins slipped by my wife for my second born son's name.

lol, you shoulda took turns. My wife named the first one and agreed to let me name the 2nd one(because she didn't think their would be a 2nd one). Lo and behold we had a second one and even though she hated the name I chose, she had to live with it lol.

We kind of did the same. If it were a boy I got the name and if it were a girl she got to name her. We had a boy so I won...not sure if #2 will be that easy if its a boy again.splff3000 wrote:lol, you shoulda took turns. Oh, since you named the first one, she's gonna name the second one whether it's a boy or girl lol. You might as well get ready for that lol.

I get off work at 9 and if I were to play the worker's NC game at say 9:15, it may back things up a few minutes...a little break from ncaa never hurt anyone

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
Huggins is a piece of crap. He dropped K-State like a rock after one season. I enjoyed watching the Purple pussies cry and whine about it, but it still was pretty classless. Too bad there isn't gonna be a college basketball game this season, I woulda picked it up for sure.
Just looking ahead, is everyone planning on buying next season's NCAA football 2012? I hope we could jeep this group intact, or at least mostly for next year. We seem to have a pretty good group, and I would like to play with all of you for the foreseeable future (assuming that I don't die lol).

For both OD's, usually if you're in when it ends, you have a guaranteed spot when it begins next year. I have a feeling in late november this will turn into the COD forums too lol.

Well, I suck total ass at COD as I have played it very few times. Most of my limited FPS experience comes with HALO, and I am almost as bad at that.splff3000 wrote:jhawk886 wrote:Oh, and hoping that I'd be welcome of course. I don't want to assume that I'd have a guaranteed spot.

However, due to everyone here playing, and the probably slowed pace at which our dynasties will be moving, I may have to pick it up and play with you guys. Hopefully, I could improve and wouldn't always be the weak link lol.
