Re: Workers 2011 Discussion Thread
Only three remain unbeaten as Wilson, Adams halt Cornhuskers streak
NEBRASKA – Tyler Wilson played well under pressure as he threw 16 times completing 9 of those passes for 210 yards, 1 score and 1 turnover as the Razorbacks hand the Nebraska Cornhuskers their first loss of the season.
With Wilson being hit and miss all day, Joe Adams found a crease in the back of the end zone and scored a major touchdown in the third quarter. Arkansas never looked back from here adding ten (10) more points to sell the victory and hold on the National Championship hopes.
The result leaves the NCAA with only 3 undefeated teams with only weeks left of this 2011 season.
It’s these types of games that make you realize how well our guys can perform under pressure”, Wilson said. “We go out there and play our best.”
“Tyler did a great job,” Coach Clark said after the quarterback finished the game well. “He had a fun week working with receivers and us coaches trying to work out timing issues that they incurred the week before.”
Arkansas need a victory to keep their National titles aspiration alive and was facing the hottest team in football.
Nebraska with 10 straight wins with an option plagued offense was one of the hottest teams in football.
The game started with Nebraska receiving the opening kickoff and starting moving the ball down the field. A simple option play was jumped by free safety Jerry Mitchell and took the ball 35 yards for a score to give Arkansas an early 7-0 lead. Arkansas held the Cornhuskers again and took a two touchdown lead going into the second quarter. “Our team was on fire, we couldn’t make a mistake,” Ronnie Wingo told me this about the first quarter. Nebraska then woke up and held the Razorbacks scoreless while scoring two touchdowns themselves in the second quarter.
The rest is in the book after that. Arkansas took at 10 point lead with 2:28 left to play in the 4th quarter. The defence needed to step up with just over 2 minutes left in the game and that’s exactly what they did. The Razorbacks allowed a 7 yard rush TD with 1:50 left. Nebraska then tried and failed on the onside kick attempt. Meaning the Razorbacks only needed a first down to lock up the game and that’s exactly what they did. “The five yard gain on first down was clutch by Wingo, I knew we could get five more yards after that.” announced Clark.
Coach Clark as well as his squad look to celebrate tonight and tomorrow. They will be preparing for final SEC game next week at first ranked LSU.
Reporting from Nebraska. I’m Erin Andrews.

Re: Workers 2011 Discussion Thread
I'm not using this as an excuse, but I shouldn't have played that game. I was rushed trying to get there, bc I had plans and was trying to do stuff while I played. I dug myself into a hole early with stupid mistakes and kept making them throughout the first half. You can look at the stats and see that I dominated the game, but due to stupid plays, I ended up losing.
Not taking anything away from clark. His record against me this season speaks for itself, but I think had I been more focused, I would have won the game. Multi-tasking and playing ncaa at the same time is just stupid. Either way, the score shows the winner. Good game man, as always.
