2012 Preseason Vote - Play or Sim

What's everyone's opinion on playing the 2012 Preseason? We got a couple days before the rosters come out (Friday) and we'll also have a short FA period before start (so idiots/cpu doesn't grab player at will) so might as well get a poll running to see what the majority's opinion is towards the initial preseason.

I vote Sim, all the teams are at 53 (+/- FA signings) and we all ready to roll. Since I believe we'll be starting with pre-existing injuries (heard if that's off injuries won't save in CCM) I don't mind a sim injury if it happens at all. Also, you don't get much XP during preseason and I want hawk to suffer.

I vote play, especially since if the plan is to leave injuries on during the preseason, I don't want my starters in very much and have a significant injury because somebody is playing in the 2nd half because the sim engine doesn't pull the starters.

I voted sim. Leggo!

Splff has previously said he would not be willing to turn injuries off.

I say turn off injuries then sim preseason n then when done turn back on injuries once season starts

Seems like you don't know how to read.

i want to play the preseason for the fact that you get XP for players and can get xp for coaches. Also it will give us a chance to try different players out before the real season. Correct me if im wrong but there are cut days in the preseason right? But if we end up simming i will be cool.

I voted sim. You'll still gain coach XP for the simmed games, and the amount of XP that your bench players aren't going to gain isn't that much. Since we'll be using the week 1 game day rosters, there will be no cuts to be made aside from if we're picking up players from FA. If there's preseason injuries during the sim... well that's football for you - anyone who says otherwise is a can't-hack-it pantywaist who wears their mama's bra.

I picked play the preseason. I really don't care that much either way tho. I would like to see how good some of these mfers that are on my bench tho. That's why I picked play it.

i think that if we have only 54 ppl on the roster.. no point of playing the pre season when they just add guys who are really going to suck... i think with the update they gave us the best backups we can have and so no point of doing a preseason. just games that we will have to wait on, and wait for advance.. most ppl will prob blow it off anywayz

Not all rosters are 53. Example my roster has 61. So if we sim me may all still have some cuts to make. Also u do gain xp for your players in practice. So we could sim the games still. Also if slpff clicks start league before u join u can't do week one practice. No biggie just a heads up

Do you know how many you can carry over to the regular season? I just started my own ccm today and when I advanced to week 1 without doing cuts I was prompted with a message like "you are xx over the active limit, please cut players before playing your game." I made my ccm online and I'm wondering if starting with the 53 man roster avoids cut days but you still need to cut before you play your first game of the regular season.

Allowed to keep 53 for regular season. Now this regular season roster is just that each teams actual roster not precut down to 53. I was wondering how the steelers were carrying 7mlb 5 rb 5 tes lol. Also Don't know why David johnson is a FA. Stupid ea he was put on IR for the year not cut lol

I know it's 53 but I'm just saying I wasn't prompted in the preseason (53 man roster still has more than 53) to cut down, but I was prompted week 1 of the season to cut players before I could play. Just wondering if cut days are removed from the preseason if you start with the 53 roster file.

I was prompted in week 2 to make cuts. Maybe your team has a lot less to where u didn't need to cut till week 4 of preseaon

Wasn't till the first week of the season, BUT, i do remember now that I grabbed a bunch of guys in FA to play week 4 of the preseason and when I rolled over to Week 1 it prompted me to make cuts.

Either way, since we are going to need to sign our FA bids week 1 of the preseason, guys should cut down players at the same time since it looks like majority is voting a sim of the preseason.
