He might be staying in his home state......lolstoptherun wrote:Georgia I believe. He looks to be kinda undecided though. If u don't get him week 1 i'm telling you its gonna be a war. 8 users in his top 10 plus TCU and BAMA. The whole dynasty is gonna offer him plus some cpu schools. Should be really interesting.

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
I've actually got a little week 1 strategy that I'm going to put into play that I think will give me a huge advantage on getting Rankin. You guys might think it's dirty, but I say all is fair in love, war and recruiting.

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
Actually, I only got two instant commits last year. My classes have been nothing compared to Texas, and damn I should be raking in the recruits with four titles. In real life, who wouldn't want to come here?

Oh, if it works, it's going to be a blast. I'm sure I'm gonna piss someone off with it. Lol, but I would just take everything I say about Rankin with a grain of salt unless if you know what I mean.

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
If we're talking about real life, a lot of recruits. It's not all about titles. It's about the system and playing time among others (what the recruiting pitches are supposed to represent). I know a lot of recruits wouldn't want to go to Florida or Texas because of the systems they run; but in this game, that doesn't matter.urbanslegend05 wrote:Actually, I only got two instant commits last year. Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
So does Notre Dame. But last year I got 1 5* in a class of 8 total recruits. In the game, it's basically about Florida, Texas, and USC as far as recruiting. Everybody else is at a severe disadvantage.yungjswag89 wrote:not really its florida they have really deep traditionsplff3000 wrote:yungjswag89 wrote:I dont think he going to commit of the hop because its a close race

You just don't know.
Wait til the first week.
and I hope none of you mofos are redshirting a senior. I don't want to go through every team just to see your redshirting someone who is getting ready to graduate.

dirty recruiting? from an sec school?? unless you're treating the players like the russians nothing would surprise me.

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
Which is kind of why it sucks that a couple of the best users (via top 5 consensus) have those schools. Urban thinks of himself as the best user in the OD, (which he very well may be, as his title count would indicate) and consistently points that out to us, but I'd like to see him do it with somebody other than Florida/Texas/USC. A title with someone else, especially a couple of them, would mean that you really are that good because you had to build your team up and then recruit well to stay there; not have it handed to you with huge recruiting advantages (excluding Bama and their initial unrealistic rosters).jhawk886 wrote:So does Notre Dame. I'm not saying that taking one of those teams is cheap or anything, but it just provides you with a leg up on everyone else. In Workers I took Kansas to an undefeated season and the National Championship in my first year. If someone can do extremely well with a less talented and non UF/UT/USC team, then I personally give that more weight. For instance Ho would have to be my #1 user on my list. He has been playing extremely well with a much less talented team than Florida and Texas and yet has knocked both of them off within the past two years. While stop was saying that recruiting classes shouldn't play a big role in determining the quality of user, that does make some sense. But given the advantages those three schools have, it makes it difficult for anyone else to field a competitive team that can matchup with them. When Ho overachieved and knocked off UT & UF and those two schools lost to him with the talent edge they have, it definitely makes me rank him ahead of them.
Now I'm not exactly sure how I got from where I started to where I ended, but whatever. Just my incoherent thoughts on recruiting. Peace out brothas, I'll get on the schedules later tonight.

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
Lol Hawk, I have never pointed out that I won four titles. When did I ever say anything about 4 titles. I mean, it's not like I won four titles or something. Four titles, four titles, four titles......lol, just kidding man. I honestly won't be pointing it out very much now that Clarks not around. It was just my way of jabbing back at him for his constant arrogance without achievement. But that's just bc I hated him and I like all you guys, so no more talk of four championships from now on.....four championships. OK, I'm done.

Hawk, how much time I got before schedules done? You know I like to get into recruiting and see what I can do. If I got time, I wanna really look at some things.
