Good News: My offense and return game is explosive.

Bad News: My defense is bleh, hopefully it was just the 4-2-5.

USC wins a close struggle. 20-14.

Came down to a couple short yardage stops that went my way.

The game started out with Miami kicking the ball and forcing a rare fumble from the Crimson Tide. That set them up for a quick field goal within the first minute of the game. The next drive, the Tide could not get anything going offensively and were forced to punt the ball away. A few punts from both teams was eventually halted when Adam Vinatieri made a 29 yard field goal to knot the game up at 3.

With no scoring coming in the second quarter, the Colts, I mean Tide scored 21 unanswered points in the third quarter with Manning passing to P. Nelson, P. Miller and Ward pounding the ball in from a yard out. The Tide thought this would be enough, little did they know what Miami had up their sleeve.

Miami scored very quickly in the 4th quarter on a 4 yard dump off to J. Davis. But the next play, Manning realized that Miami had one on one coverage with Miller, so he elected to audible with Miller running a streak and catching an 82 yard bomb.

This would prove to be the winner, and the Tide win 38-24.

Coach Clark told me this after the game, "Our players looked good out there, we should be in mid season form very soon."

    Some stats from the game.

    P. Manning 14/21 379 yards 4 tds
    R. Ward 17 carries 81 yards 1 td
    P. Nelson 5 catches 145 yards 2 tds
    P. Miller 2 catches 139 yards 2 tds
    C. Matthews 7 tackles

    B. Sanders 7 tackles, 1 int

Good game hova, you played well when you were trying to move the ball quickly. Look forward to playing you in the future

Thanks man. That first deep ball took my heart. I'm cutting that one corner you abuse. Lol. It seems I should have ran no huddle and tried passing a Lil more.

Im doing this from my phone so bear with me.

USC receives ball to start the game and puts together a scoring drive capped by a 19 yard pass to impace true freshman Jason Birch from 19 yards out. USC struck dumb luck once again with a 69 yard touchdown pass to HB Travis Myrick. It was a pass to the flats that went right over a defender and Myrick broke some insane tackles to rumble in to make it 14-0.

USC had a chance to add to their lead but with a true freshman in at qb threw an int in the opponents.redzone. Texas mounts a furious 2 minute drill to score with seconds left in half on a pass to Rice.

    14-7 USC at half.

    No scoring in third quarter.

USC adds a field to make it 17-7 but Texas answers with I believe a six play 82 yard drive to make it 17-14. USC is able to burn some clock and add another fg.

Score 20-14 USC with 1:34 left.

Texas gets a couple firsts but on 3rd and long their qb is pressured and one of only two returning starters on defense aaron sledge jumps the route for.game.sealig pick.

    Usc: 11-18 passing 209 yards 2tds 1 int
    Peterson 17 carries 65 yards
    Myruck 7 carries 62 yards

    Texas passing : 12-26-226yatds 1td 1int
texas rbs combined for close to 90 yards on 26 carries

    Good game man

Jeez, I hate starting out the season with a CPU monster game. I pulled out the win 20-10 over BYU.

My line couldn't block worth shit in either the running or passing game. Their defense was just phenomenal in all areas, secondary and front 7, they reacted to routes before the ball had even left my hand and before the receiver even made his break. Their RBs broke craploads of tackles no matter who it was as they user 3 different backs. I threw 2 picks while my guys had 6-7 picks but they dropped them all. Just very ugly and frustrating game. Looking forward to advancing so I can get that bad taste out of my mouth.

Hawk.shredded my secondary last year and my guys are way shittier back there this year. His offense looks tough as he'll with merill leading the way.

Spliff and I have never played but he has a solid.rep it seems and a good qb/rb combo. I feel worried heading.into this one.

Osaka had a real bad teN last.year cal has some speedy playmakers. I dunno man. Ill be happy with 10-2 but who knows.

Looking at that game, I am going to give my top 5 now.

    1. Joker
    2. Jared
    3. Urban
    4. Blaze
    5. Stop, Jhawk

All players are good, probably could put urban 2nd, but Jareds game just looks damn good right now. Other reason, urban is the gay ass Chargers and this is the year I'm gonna beat them. Toss up for 5th, jhawk had a bad year, stop didn't have the best year either.

Oklahoma opens the season like they ended last season - by putting up a lot of points. The Sooners put up 65 on Boise State as they cruised to a 65-20 victory. All the starters played three quarters, but were taken out in the fourth as Oklahoma led 51-20 going into the final quarter. In three quarters of work, Quinton Young threw for 301 yards and 6 touchdowns, completing 16 of 25 attempts. Stephen Jones picked up 195 rushing yards on only 13 attempts while adding 95 receiving yards on 5 catches, finding the end zone twice in total. Andy Lilly had two touchdown grabs while Travis Webb took all three of his catches to the house. The Sooners totaled 638 yards in total as even their backups got in on the action in the fourth quarter. Backup QB Robbie Brown threw for 47 yards and 2 scores, one of which went to TE William Hudson, the true freshman's first career TD.

It could have been way worse as I easily dropped 12-15 interceptions, it was actually insane. Did get a turnover late in the 4th as they fumbled the kickoff but still, there were 2-3 passes every single drive that could have/should have been picked by my guys but just bounced right off their hands.

In recruiting news, Oklahoma received a commitment from the #3 G in the nation, 5* Marcus Jackson.

    Bolen wins Heisman
In a close vote, Tanner Bolen can now call himself a Heisman winner along with a two-time national champion. The senior-to-be claimed the hardware in a close race that included Stephen Jones, Steve Concepcion, Mike Rodriguez and Quinton Young, it was Bolen who stood out above the rest.
Interestingly enough, all players will return next season with the exception of Concepcion. It should be another interesting race.
    Here's how it shook out:
    Bolen, 3, 3, 3, 3, 2, 3 - 17
    Jones, 2, 3, 3, 1, 3, 2 - 14
    Concepcion, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2 -7
    Rodriguez 2, 1, 2, 1, - 6
    Young 2, 1, 1 -4
