Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I don't have to play you again, because that was a tough series. Still, the great state of Texas is waiting for some representation against Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry.

Totally agree. The only difference between me and bama however, is that I've built Texas into a powerhouse while bama started off that way and has since fallen to a 5* team.

With Young, Jones, Webb, Lilly and Wayne all playing their final seasons it could be my last year to have a chance at winning. Probably going to be a bit of a rebuilding year next season for the Sooners.

    urbanslegend05 wrote:My top 5 (weighing all seasons/dynasties)

    1. Joker - Not only has he played me very well, he's been consistant year in and out. Whether its been workers or rivals, he's always near the top. The best attribute he has is his accuracy. He completes most every pass. He does the small things like not turning the ball over and he keeps his game very balanced.
His negative, if he has one, is that sometimes he gets a little too conservative. Obviously his game isn't very flawed by his 27-1 record in the last two seasons. You know you have to play close to flawless if you're going to beat him.
    2. Jhawk - He had a down year, yes, but he's still probably one of the three or four deadliest guys in this dynasty despite that. Is it a little high for him? Some could say that, but then you can point to things like his championship with Kansas in workers. You could look at his undefeated year with Stanford here. The guy is consistantly near the top, and you have to say something for consistancy.
His best attribute is his ability to adapt his offense to his strengths. I know that he plays differently most every season. One year he's running the option, one year he's passing the hell out of it, one year he's got a dominant ground game. His offense stays fresh.
His downfall is that sometimes his aggressiveness backfires on him. That's usually when he loses games. But you live and die by the sword.
    3. Blaze - I had the hardest time trying to figure out who to put here. This is based solely on what I saw from him last season. I saw him lose to Joker by a point. I saw him come back and beat Jhawk. I saw him rally from a 14-point deficit against Ho to win the ACC.
To tell you the truths, I haven't got to see his strengths fully in action yet. I think most of the times that I've played him he's been overwhelmed by talent or turnovers. This year, things started to seem to come together for him.
These I could probably I identify more of, because I've witnessed them. He has tended to get into holes early and presses sometimes because of that. A good example this year would be the 6 interception game against stop.
    4. Stop - How can stop beat Blaze twice this season and be ranked behind him. Again, that has more to do with Blaze turning the corner and the difference in talent.
Stop has had much better talent than most coaches in the dynasty throughout, excluding probably Florida, Alabama and Notre Dame, but yet, he hasn't been able to win his conference against Oklahoma, whose talent is just a little bit behind. Given, Joker is one of the best coaches around, Stop has to break through in that rivalry to go up.
His positives is his versatilty. When he can get his running game going, he's hard to stop. He's able to utilize the option and then can hit you with the deep balls.
But, like his name indicates, if you can stop the run, you can stoptherun. Without his running game and option attack at full force, he runs into trouble when he must fully lean on the passing game.
    5. Jared -He's still too much of a wild card to be ranked any higher, but deserved mention for his ability to make the championship (and make it a hell of a game) this season. His schedule was weaker than most of ours, but he did go undefeated with a big win against Notre Dame...and he was within 3 points of winning the title and probably being ranked higher on this list.
His strength is easy. He's got one of the best defenses I've seen. His ability to play middle linebacker at a high level limits offenses from exploiting the peremiters and guards the middle of the field in the passing game.
Offensively, he left a little to be desired with me. At times, I was able to predict which play he was going to run, and it was only the first time that I had played him. His talent was a little behind mine, but its too hard to take a lot away from it based on one game. It was obviously good enough to go undefeated through the regular season.

Honorable mentions (in no particular order) - Clark, Splff, Rauloe, and Ho all garnered consideration.
Clark has been near the top, but he really fell off this last season. He's been consistantly good in here, but he's never won a title with the most talented team (arguably) year in and out. In workers, he wasn't very good and never challenged for the title, though his team wasn't as good.
Splff, he's just always been consistant. Always near the top. I've seen him win a championship, and he's never had the best team. Just a solid player.
Rauloe, he's had awesome talent, but I think he just gets too high before his games. He's a talented player, but hasn't been able to put it together for an entire season.
Ho, he's slacked in rivals with Florida State for sure, but his talent has always been behind. The biggest thing is he continually plays the hardest damn schedule year in and out without top talent to compare. What he really gets consideration for is his championship in workers with LSU when the talent was on an equal playing field.

    Others....Pops aka hova, Osama
Osama's game has dissapeared like Bin Laden it appears. Na, I just think he's new to it. Maybe he'll catch on. Maybe he'll post more on the boards than he's ready for the season or maybe he's just LePayne 2.0.
Pops aka Hova, he's just not been able to compete at Michigan. He hasn't had the talent either. Now he's going to Miami where the talent and heat is on. Let's see if that makes a difference in his game.

Urbs how can u say you're weighing all dynasties and all seasons, then get to blaze and say you're going off what u saw this season??? The same season where I destroyed his squad twice??? That's nuts.

And if we are really weighing all seasons and dynasties my record in workers is outstanding and I've never lost to a user in cff. I'm just saying my resume is better than you're giving me credit for if you're ranking me behind blaze.

No disrespect to blaze who had a great season, but to me he's still knocking on the door of the top 5.

U just signed bigger Ben roethlisberger and u have the luxury of redshirting him with young coming back. I'm sure you will be terrorizing teams for years to come.

haha yah that helps a bit but it may take a year or two for not only him but the receivers/offensive line to develop as well.

Mind you I did win the NC when I used Young as a true freshman.

    And now my top 5

    1. Joker- he owns me this year and another undefeated season proves he's giving other users a lot of trouble as well.

    2. Urbs- always in the mix despite playing a tough schedule. Recruits well and uses a tricky offense to frustrate users.

    3. Jhawk- had a down year in rivals but has been killing it on the recruiting trail so I look for the Irish to make a whole lotta noise here real soon.

    4. Jared- beating hawk to get to the NC gains u a lotta points in my book. Ive played jared in another dynasty so our week one clash will tell me if I need to move him up a spot or two.

    5. Blaze- was really on to something at VT. Hope he doesn't fall back to the pack rebuilding the wolverines. Clark, Splff, ho, and rauloe are ready to take that spot.

That was my point in saying u had the LUXURY to redshirt him. I fully expect u to reload.

80 overall, 69 speed, 90 throw power, 84 throw accuracy. Considering Young has started 4 years and only has 90 throw power and 86 throw accuracy, Martindale could be/will be an absolute stud.

Young is 40-2 as a starter though, only 2 losses - a 3 point loss to Alabama his first game on a last second field goal and a 3 point loss to Urban in the NC game in overtime. Pretty damn impressive.

We aren't advancing until 8:30-9 guys. Splff is an hourman when it comes to his board, his RBs kick accuracy has to be just right.

I spend a shit ton of time on recruiting as well. I probably spent somewhere between 2-3 hours last night setting up my board.

    ****Updates****

Anyone wishing to get in last-minute Heisman votes has until tonight to do so. I'll be posting the results between 7-10 p.m. eastern.

Everyone thank Jhawk for his work done on the schedules. I'm looking at them right now, and they're flawless. Blaze and Rauloe may not like theirs (it's hard as hell), but I'm enjoying my 5 users on the schedule. Don't think there's anyway I'm going undefeated.

I will be posting the recruiting limits for everyone when I get home tonight to ensure we don't run into another ho situation.

Good luck to everyone and LEGGO.
