Virginia Tech pulls off the upset over #12 LSU 27-3. The VT defense was the story here, as they only allowed 187 total offense, including -8 rushing yards. The defensive line was amazing with 6 sacks, 4 of them coming from DE Zack McCray. Ricardo Young played well, going 13-21 for 159 yds and 2 TDs to Brian Burch. Now VT gets ready to head out west and play against USC.

GG CT, my bad on those late pitches, I didn't really try to do them those two times.

Ditto on the first time sitting down. It's been a long ass day, that's for damn sure. And it's going to be a long ass day tomorrow. That's also for damn sure, but there's a rainbow at the end of this storm. It's been a crazy mother F-ing week, but i'm praying that tomorrow brings some chill time forth.

Anyways, this was about the dynasty. I'm gonna get that thing advanced pretty soon. Then, I'm probably going to beat the hell out of Penn State to take out some of that "Stop beat my ass" aggression.

Florida State wins an ugly one on the road. But of course it doesn't matter if u win by an inch or a mile "Winning is Winning." A wise man once told me this. With almost as many turnovers as firstdowns..3 turnovers, 4 firstdowns..State escapes from a beatdown. Not much to talk about in this one except that either team coulda won but the Seminoles D took over after Michigan scored on their second drive. They didn't allow another point until mid way through the 4th. They also stopped the Wolverines on all 3 4th down attempts.

We definitely have to reevaluate this offensive situation because we looked almost as terrible as the Florida State basketball squad's offense...which is horrible.

    Final: 26-14

Well first up for the Ducks was craptastic CU. I knew this game was only on my schedule cuz I joined a second too late so right off the bat I set tempo to conservative. I only ended up passing 5 times. I was just trying to chew clock the entire time. Seastrunk had 150 yards in the first quarter alone. I figured it would be kinda cheesy to go for some record day in a game like that so he was benched at the half and finished with like 180 yards on 13 carries I believe. My QB and backup RBs combined for about 170 rushing yards in the second half as I was just chewing clock whole game trying to get on with it. Final score 42-7. My defense is pretty soft so there might be some shootouts this year. Looking forward to next game.

Yeah man, in all the combined seasons I have played this game, never used a RB who moves quite like him. He probably could have had 400 yards in this game but that would have been lame. The QB is fast too and really accurate. Lots of seniors though. After this season I will be down for 1-2 years.

The Fighting Irish win the annual rivalry game with the Michigan Wolverines, 42-0.

The Irish were led by their rushing attack and their star back, All-American redshirt sophomore Marcus Williams. Williams tore up the Wolverine defense all day, breaking the team's single game rushing record with an astounding 280 yards on 25 carries. Williams just refused to be tackled as he broke 6 tackles on the day to go along with his 2 touchdowns. The rest of the rushing attack was put in by option quarterback Andrew Hendrix who had 5 rushes for 97 yards and 2 touchdowns. Backup running back Cameron Roberson also got the rock once on the goal line for 3 yards and a touchdown.

When the Irish needed to pass, Merrill was able to consistently find senior speedster Bennett Jackson matched up with a linebacker which inevitably ended up in big yards for the Irish. Merrill ended the game 7-11 with 103 yards and a touchdown. Six of those completions, and all but one of the yards, went to Jackson.

The Notre Dame defense also had a good day keeping that big fat 0 up on the scoreboard for the game's entirety. While they did allow 293 yards of total offense for the Wolverines, They were able to come up with big plays when they needed them. The Irish held the Wolverines to 0-2 on 4th downs, and 0-2 in the red zone. The Irish defense also forced 4 turnovers, 3 interceptions and a fumble, with one of the interceptions coming in the back of the endzone.

Star Wolverine quarterback, senior Devin Gardner, exposed the Irish defense with his legs, racking up key first downs one after another when there was nothing open in the passing game. Gardner finished the day rushing with 10 attempts for 94 yards along with 2 fumbles (1 lost). He also had 179 yards on 12-27 passing with 3 interceptions.

After the game, Irish coach Jhawk had this to say, "Our boys played great out there today. Marcus Williams is the best running back I have ever coached and he was just phenomenal out there today. We have our next couple of games here at home against some more of our traditional rivals, but then we have a tough stretch to end the season. Hopefully, we can stay healthy throughout and make a title run this year. I just can't say enough about our boys, they just played their hearts out. Hopefully we can bring that same type of passion and intensity to the rest of the season."

The Irish (2-0) will remain in South Bend next week and play host to the other school from Michigan, the Spartans of Michigan State.

    RULES:

    The jhawk rule:
If a user takes over midseason, he will be put on auto for a user game unless he has more than one user game scheduled or already has a loss on his record. This is to make sure that everyone has to go through a couple of users to make it to the championship.

    - Heisman
    - 8 minute quarters
    - 1 week will be 1-3 days real time. As always, we will advance as fast as possible. If everyone is done in 12 hours. We'll advance in 12 hours. As always, I don't want to stretch any more than 3 days. Last year, as most of you know, we moved at about a game a day to a day and a half pace. I hope to keep that pace this year.
    - no fcs teams on schedule at all
    - you must play at least 3 human players each season. I will try to fit in 4 after the first season.
    - play as sim and realistic as possible. Everyone is grown in here, and I've know everyone knows what this means, so I'm not going to go into that. This is more for newbies if anyone drops later on down the road.
    - Run commit is banned.
    - Talk smack. I don't care, just don't get banned from the board. You guys know who you are.....cough, cough.

Recruiting rules: May only recruit the number of seniors leaving plus 3, unless you're below the 70 man roster limit. At no time should your roster have more than 73 players. If this happens, the team will lose the top rated recruit.

Thats copied from the rule thread which is a couple threads below this one. I Dont think there is a more in depth rules thread on the forum. Just play legit. I honestly am not a fan of aggressive gameplanning but I think its allowed in this OD. Other than that just keep it real.
