Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
Oklahoma wins the Red River Game 30-24. Things looked shaky for the Sooners early, as they started with a nice drive before Landry Jones threw an interception. Minutes later Texas lead 7-0. Oklahoma calmed down, however, and took a 14-7 lead thanks to two touchdown runs by Jermie Calhoun. Looking to strike again, Calhoun took the handoff but was hammered immediately by Aaron Williams. Alex Okafor picked up the ball and rumbled 39 yards into the end zone to tie the game at 14. The Sooners answered right back with a Brennan Clay touchdown rush before halftime.
To begin the second half, a strange play happened. Attempting to lateral on the kickoff return, the Longhorns tossed the ball 20 yards backwards into their own end zone. They were able to recover the ball, but suffered a safety. Oklahoma answered with another Calhoun touchdown and took a commanding 30-14 lead. Texas answered strong with 10 straight points, but Oklahoma's ground game was too much and they were able to run out the clock and secure the 30-24 win.
The difference in the game was the rushing attacks, as the Sooners piled up over 200 rushing yards while Texas didn't even reach 40. Calhoun gained 142 yards on 31 carries while Clay added 88 yards on 12 carries. The ground game helped the Sooners hold Texas' offense to only 203 yards and just over 9 minutes off ball possession. Landry Jones, named starter by Joker earlier this week, was solid, throwing for 239 yards. Most of his completions came on 3rd down, as the Sooners were a remarkable 10-11. Trent Ratteree and Ryan Broyles both had 3 1st down receptions on 3rd down plays.
Garrett Gilbert was solid for the Longhorns, but never had the ball enough to get anything going. as he threw for only 173 yards. The leading rusher for Texas was Chris Whaley, who found the end zone but only gained 14 yards on 6 carries.
Oklahoma is now sitting pretty in the Big 12, and as long as they can win out, they have a pretty good shot at making the National Championship game, for what is looking like a rematch against Alabama.

And the Crimson Tide are victorious once again. Alabama goes into Virginia and absolutely destroys the extremely weak ass team from the Technology of Virginia College. Ingram put on an absolute show carrying the ball 28 times and recording 219 yards with a score. AJ McCarron only had to throw the ball 17 times with 8 completions to beat this out played team. The Tide look forward to getting stupidly high after this win and will be getting back to the drawing boards very shortly. Coach Clark had this to say after the game, "Well Erin, the team played great, and you have amazing cannons." Reporting live from Virginia, I'm Erin Andrews

Dude, I was looking at the schedules the other day, and that caught me too. I was hoping that they would lose and nobody would call me out on it. It feels like my worse nightmare might be coming true again, and that's an undefeated non-BCS school going to the championship. There's still a lot of possibilities for them to lose, but it's very scary.
Anyways, I'm about to hop on and play LSU and then I'll advance after. Tanner, known to you all as Getonmylevelho, had the quote of the night when I said we're going to advance two nights in a row. His reply, "We're making up for lost time." NCAA fever. Oh, and when most of you read this, there will be less than 24 hours before a college football gameday.

The Huskies are Humbled
The Cardinal went up to Seattle and destroyed the fourth-ranked Washington Huskies by a score of 49-6.
The Huskies might as well have just not shown up for the game today as they provided little resistance to the Stanford offense as Luck went 15-21 for 361 yards and 5 touchdowns. They also put up 138 yards with two touchdowns on the ground.
Washington managed a total of 194 yards of total offense on the day with only 37 yards rushing. The game was controlled by Stanford throughout and only with the subbing in of the second team did the offense stutter a little with two stalled drives and two long field goal misses.
Stanford should now garner some national attention as they are much improved this season with wins already over Washington and USC. Next week they will face the Arizona State Sun Devils.

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
Gators blank LSU
On a day where quarterback John Brantley wasn't at his best, the Florida Gators defense was with a 31-0 shutout of LSU.
Brantley struggled on the road to the tune of 17-of-35 passing for 278 yards and two touchdowns. He also threw two interceptions.
Picking up the offensive pace were Florida's two running backs, Jeff Demps and Mack Brown. Brown led in yardage with 110 yards, but Demps found the end zone twice to go along with his 97 yards on only 14 carries.
Defensively, Florida was finally able to get some pressure on the quarterback with last year's NCAA leader, Ronald Powell, registering his first sack of the season. Jelani Jenkins continued to play outstanding as well with another sack.
Florida didn't score until the second quarter and exploded for 17 before the half to lead 17-0. The Gators also came out flat in the third, before scoring 14 in the fourth to win 31-0.
"We have got to correct that," coach Urban Legend said. "That doesn't fly against the Crimson Tide."
Florida prepares for eighteenth-ranked Oregon, and should be back in the top five this week with only a one-point loss to the nation's top ranked team on their resume.

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
I think your tips might have helped splff. I was doing a lot of it already from common sense, but there's a couple of things I think I might change a little bit. Of course, I'll keep that between me and you. I had about 6 players soft commit after last week, so I'm hoping I can land a few of them soon.

Thank you! WVU moves up another spot.

Re: Rivals 2011 Dynasty
Oklahoma runs past Missouri to continue their 2011 domination of the Big 12. Oklahoma put up 396 rushing yards as they manhandled the Tigers physically. Jermie Calhoun put up 226 rushing yards on 22 carries and found the end zone three times, while Brennan Clay added 161 yards on 22 carries and found the end zone twice. "I don't think there is a better 1-2 punch in college football right now," Coach Joker said after. "With 2 backs capable of putting up 1000 yard seasons, an All American tight end and two big play receivers, we have one of the best if not the best offenses in the nation."
Oklahoma will take on Iowa State next.

Hicks, I'll get a hold of him now and tell him to hit you up. I know that he's at work now, so not sure when it'll be.

Kid will probably be off work around 6-7 p.m. if I had to guess. That's usually the time that he gets online.

He'll be available from about 730 to 9 he said. He doesn't really have a set time to get off so that's the window when he'll probably be available.

Cool...if you're in touch tell him that should work for me. The kiddo can throw a monkey wrench into any plan w/ a quickness, but as of now that'll work.
