NCAA 11 didn't have transfer failed glitches, did it?
NCAA 12 does, doesn't it?
What did they add this year that wasn't in last year?
Hmmm
CPBs are really cool...
Wanna know what is cooler?
ODs that don't glitch.
Whatever we did the first time around in this game, it kinda didn't work.
Just my two, or three, cents.
Yeah I do read OS, and while I could've missed it, I haven't seen anybody other than you theorize that custom playbooks are causing the transfer failed glitch. Logically, it makes no sense that the two would have any effect on one another whatsoever. Coaching carousel is a different story which is why, although I hate to disable that feature, I am supportive of turning it off.
To explain why CPB's would have no effect upon the transfer failed glitch requires using a little bit of common sense.
Where and what do custom playbooks affect? The answer to that question is very straight forward in that it is ALL gameplay. Your CPB can be used inside and outside of the OD as it is saved independently and then uploaded independently to use within a game just like any other playbook is. CPB's have no tie whatsoever to the functioning processes of an online dynasty; they do not upload anything at all to the servers, have no effect on recruits interested based on playbook/play style, and have no link whatsoever to the OD itself.
CC on the other hand has direct ties to the functioning processes of the OD. It affects 360 different coaches on the game with a complex algorithm to determine when coaches get hired/fired and how their prestige progresses. It has to upload all of it's information to the servers and plays an integral part in the end of season process as coaches switch teams and all of this is done seemingly simultaneously. This is very taxing on the CPU and was not properly debugged as evidenced with the issues already known with CC. I would not be at all surprised if CC is, or is one of the leading causes of the transfer failed issue. However, it would also not surprise me if CC has nothing to do with that issue and it's a completely separate issue introduced by EA through other code changes/server changes made since last year's game.
It stands to reason that the new features, such as CC, would be the first place EA would look to see if they can determine what has caused this issue. This is a new feature that effects the dynasty upload process that was not in place last year when there was no problem. However, I don't have much faith in EA so even though I somewhat doubt the issue is CC related (as I believe if it was that simple to locate, being an issue introduced with a new feature, it would've been found and solved by now), I'll support the decision to not use the coaching carousel. I cannot however advocate not using custom playbooks when there is no evidence or logical argument to show that CPB's and the transfer failed glitch are even remotely linked.
