Re: Workers 2011 Discussion Thread
Huskers use sleep-deprivation tactics on Hokies
Lincoln, NE - Nebraska continued to show why its one of the top programs in all of college football with a lop-sided 48-14 victory against No. 23 Virginia Tech.
"We knew used sleep-deprivation tactics on the Hokies," Legend said after the game. "I'm sure some other coaches would probably see this as cheese, but Kid's a good sport. He was just too tired tonight."
Taylor Martinez may have threw his name into the Heisman conversation with a performance that hasn't been seen since the likes of Tommie Frazier were playing for Tom Osborne.
Martinez completed 11-of-11 passes for 252 yards and two touchdowns. More impressively, he rushed for 186 yards on only 13 attempts and reached the end zone three more times using his legs for a total of five touchdowns in the game.
Braylon Heard carried the ball 13 times for 91 yards.
The Huskers jumped out to a 10-0 lead behind a Martinez pass to Heard of 50 yards and a field goal before Ryan Williams broke free for 79 yards and a score.
Nebraska then scored 35 unanswered points starting with a Martinez run from 25 yards out. When the Huskers went to answer, P. Smith picked off an option pitch and took it 18 yards to the house for a 24-7 first-quarter lead.
The Blackshirts continued their thrashing in the second quarter with Martinez hitting Dentravious Robinson for 15 yards for a score and Martinez's 62 yard run gave the Huskers a 38-7 halftime lead.
Nebraska turned off the rocket fuel in the second half but not before Martinez added a 64 yard run and gave the Huskers a 45-7 lead.
Coach Legend had these comments after the game.
"If it wasn't for those damn late pitches, Virginia Tech wouldn't have even scored on me (just kidding kid. I just couldn't help myself with the late pitch conversations of the last few days). In all seriousness, I've played that team before many of times and it was obvious that my punctuality had a lot to do with the decision. I don't think that the Hokies were fully commited to the contest and it was obvious they needed a pillow by the third possession."
Good game kid. I know I'll get a much better shot from you next time around, preferably more suitable to your early mornings.

Re: Workers 2011 Discussion Thread
Sometimes this game really really pisses me off. I kinda had a feeling that I was gonna see some BS because I was going on the road, but I did not know it was gonna be as bad as it was. I barely beat Ole Miss no thanks to my fucking QB throwing like a asshole ....... again. I had to score with 2 secs left to avoid having to do a write up but fuck it I'm here doing one anyway. But first back to the "BS on the road" part.
I guess when my O-line goes to MS they forget how to block or something because I got stuffed on the regular when I tried to run. Running a toss? 2 yd loss. Running a counter? 1 yd loss. HB dive? no gain. I was like WTF? On a few run plays I saw my pulling guard literally run right by the DE or OLB without blocking him. Of course that same DE/ OLB made the tackle in the backfield every time. Luckily for me they couldn't cover Emory Blake for shit. On just about every pass play he was open as fuck. He could've broke some kind of record if my QB could throw worth a damn. I had at least 3 drives where I threw on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd down to wide open receivers and this asshole missed the wide open man all 3 downs. I was like WTF? Oh and I can't forget the nice pass 10yds behind the receiver that result in an int.
I kinda got away from the BS part so let's get back to that. The O-line wasn't just bad on run blocking. Hell, I might as well just snapped the ball and fell to the ground on a few pass plays because the d-line was in so quick. I recall one time I was running WR slants and I got sacked almost as soon as I snapped the ball. It was almost instantly. The only way I would have got the ball off is if I pressed x then pressed square right afterwards. Hell they got a safety on me. In fact, they got 15 of their 22 points off of turnovers, well if you count a safety as a turnover. Anyway, I saw this lil RB breaking tackles lefts and right. On one play he hip flexed me, the DE, then stiff armed the shit out of my DT, then spinned and broke both of my CB's and OLB's ankles. Luckily my safety was there and was able to make a shoestring tackle before he was off to the races. WTF man?
Back to my sorry ass QB now, he's hitting the bench for my next game against MS. St. I'm gonna give the true freshman a go and see how he does. I know I shouldn't because I'm going to MS again but fuck it. Maybe the freshman can complete a fucking pass.

Re: Workers 2011 Discussion Thread
Thought I was going to have one of those games against Kentucky. It was 14-14, they had already successfully converted 2 fake punts, and their RB was breaking tackles left right and center. However, I then proceeded to put 68 points on them. Maybe next time they'll think twice before converting 2 fake punts on me.

Re: Workers 2011 Discussion Thread
Its a bird, its a plane, nope, its Adrian Peterson, LT, Barry Saunders combined. The Razorbacks welcome the Crimson Tide and take part in a shootout. The Razorbacks lose 61-44 in what was a game to forget for the 'sas. Trent Richardson was unstoppable. Here are his stats from the game. Hope you are sitting down cause these are insane. Richardson 38 carries 385 yards 6 tds, 3 catches 82 yards 2 tds. Yup, 385 rushing yards. Arkansas was getting torn apart every which way. Wilson tried his best to keep his team in there, but the defense was just too weak. Wilson threw the ball 66 times and completed 41 of those along with 589 yards and 5 tds. Coach Clark said this, "I am extremely proud of my players for what they did today. They played their hardest, and even though they lost, the guys showed me they really do care about our football program."

I gotta get mine in too, but I'll knock it out right after the 1:00 games. Just finished rivals and advanced the week...so everybody should have a fresh game before the day is over.

I wasn't worried about your game because you're playing the cpu. I'm more worried about the user game.

I'm really not sure. I have a test Monday and Tuesday so I might not be able to play until Wednesday. But if we advance and I get a chance before then I'll post and see if you can go.
