I say we go back to the 8min qtrs with either the 25 sec runoff like we had already or change it to 20 sec runoff. I personally would prefer the 20 sec runoff to shorten the game a bit because, like muck said, we already had some outrageous scores and stats. Also, please put it back to All Madden. All Pro is pretty retarded. Well All Madden is retarded too, just not as retarded as All Pro.

How low? I know I haven't played a game yet, if it came to longer qtr's/lowering acc or shorter qtr's/higher acc I would choose to go with an accelerated clock that would leave more time on the play clock. Everyone plays different, some like having time to adjust/audibles, others just line up and go, at least with a little more time you can make adjustments and if you are trailing you don't have to run no huddle as much to avoid losing a bunch of time to the acc clock.

But that's just me Big Hug

    I moved it from 25 to 18.

I know there are more than a few guys who pick their plays extremely fast and so end up with an absurd number if plays in the game with crazy stats to go along with that many extra plays. By lowering the accel clock, I hope to significantly reduce the number of plays those players have in a game.

I added 4 total minutes of game time and estimate that the average game in here has ~30 plays where the game clock runs after a play concludes and the player picks his play with 25 or more seconds left on the play clock. Maybe my estimation is high, but that's just from what I saw in games last year. If my estimation is close to correct, that means 30 plays at an additional 7 seconds runoff of game clock results in 210 seconds or 3 and a half minutes being ran off compared to the 4 I added. I estimate the number of those plays with players who pick extremely quickly to be 45 or higher. Which ends up reducing the game length for them, which is the best way in my opinion to reduce the crazy stats we've seen.

I personally feel like there isnt enough time to get as many plays per game as you should, but thats just based on my play style because I generally use most of the play clock and I know some other people do as well. This was just an attempt to bring the averagw number of plays closer together and reduce some of the crazy stat games (which generally happen with users who are extremely quick picking their plays.)

I think 15 seconds is plenty to make audibles and adjustments at the line and I was going to try 17 seconds on the accel clock next week but if you guys want we can go back to 8 min quarters and I'll just move it to 20.

I noticed the accel clock was lower, but my game with hooch seemed like it took longer than it normally does. I think that for this to actually work, the runoff would actually have to be 15 or lower. Since I know the Madden Peyton Manning's wouldn't like that, I would suggest 8 min with 20 secs runoff instead of the 9 min qtrs.

Wouldn't mind 18 hour advances to cut preseason into 3 days.

I agree, hard to really schedule a game in the short window, 18 plenty of time to do a practice scenario against CPU.

I mentioned this briefly in chatbox last night, but I think we should slightly change the waiver wire rules.

Typically lower rated players are going to be the first to get dropped, and won't be fought over much in terms of claiming them, so I'm wondering how you guys feel about the following change:

Players rated 69 and below can be dropped free and clear without waiving.

Players rated 70 and above would continue to be waived according to the current rules.

    Thoughts?

Only problem with this is everyone sees a different overall

I agree with this as well. Also, I ain't gonna lie there are some very decent players out there under 70 ovr that I know people would fight over. Look at my LG. He is 54( in my scheme) but his ratings look pretty damn good. No offense shock, but I don't see the need to do this. If ain't broke( too much) no need to fix it.

Also, regardless of ratings, we still need the have a way to track player movements no matter how shitty they are. People value players in different ways other than just the crummy OVR and making people post drops all the more common 69 or below players at least gets them in the habit of using the transaction thread.

How come we aren't being asked to make cuts each week during the offseason?

If you are above the limit for the week it'll ask you to make cuts. I had to cut 4 guys this week to get down to 59.

Same here. I had to cut down to 59. Anyway, Hawk, just a reminder: Don't forget to take Ho off of auto before you advance. I don't want him getting fucked out of his chance to practice or whatever in week 4.

Also, you all know that we are advancing to the offseason at 1PM on Friday so you can go ahead and start scheduling your week 1 games. There's no need to be waiting til Friday night or Saturday to do it.

I'll see you in the morning, Stop, for our week 4 preseason showdown lol.
