Technically I had to leave. Dips pixked clemson and I wasn't allowed to be alonebin pad 10 . Had I known 2 others would.go pac 10 I would have stayed. I brought in pretty decent talent in those.4 seasons

    Oh well.....

I still don't get.why my qb left early man that's gay. That fucked up my plan. Its.hard to win without a qb

To be honest.I think this situation kinda sucks. But whatever. Ill take my beating at psu

You didn't finish in the Top 5. That's the only way you can move up; and even then it's just "likely" that you will.

I didn't know that. So its easier to maintain the sixth star than obtain it

Definitely. To maintain 6 stars you must finish ranked in the top 15 and win at least 8 games, or you have a chance of dropping.

The hits keep coming. My other pithes are solid tho.

Man. Whatev. If we were.early in the life cycle I would consider.making a plea for bama but let's try to have fun with my favorite team.

This kind of sucks. The year that I actually have a few 5*s start with me as #1 is the year we implement the 5* restriction, lol. But I guess it's all good, hopefully I can get some decent guys this year; I need to replenish because my recruiting has really trailed off the past couple of seasons.

The few 5*s I got were good and then I got 2 good 4*s, but after that the rest of the 4*s I got were lower end 4*s and I had to get a couple of 3 and 2*s. I wasn't able to come close to filling my needs and then my 2 starting corners leaving killed me even more. I have 2 walkons this year (haven't had any since probably 4 years ago) because I couldn't fill my needs. Out of last year's class, I probably got maybe 5-7 guys who will start at some point in their career. That's not a very good class for me. This year I have the opportunity to have a much better class, Unfortunately (Due to the restrictions), I actually have more 5*s interested in me than I do good 4*s.

Hawk I'm done with schedules if you wanna double check them after I sign off. Only person with a whacked out schedule is stop and that's only bc he has his 4 user games in the first six weeks. That's the only way I could work it out without anyone having 11 games and using only our bye weeks to schedule people while honoring year 2 of user games. Anyways, I'm pretty sure I got everything and that's the most important part. It's almost here fellas

You know, after looking at Rivals' and Scout's recruiting databases, I don't think we should have a limit on 5*s. According to Scout.com in 2007 both Florida and USC had 10 5* commitments. The only team that has surpassed that 10 5* mark was me in that one insane year. Rather than introducing a limit on 5*s, I think we should just eliminate the +3 rule for 6* teams. That gives the lower level teams an advantage in recruiting but doesn't punish the 6* teams either. I don't know about UF and UT but this year would be really tough for me to get a decent class without signing more than 5 5*s because almost no 4*s are interested in me. If the 6* teams are limited to just seniors leaving + open roster spots, I think that would give the other teams enough of an advantage to offset the 6* teams recruiting. It will also help because we won't be able to go after good players whether 4 or 5* in certain areas just to use them as backups because we will need to fill holes elsewhere on our roster.

I don't know, I just don't like the 5 5*s per year limit looking at everything now. It's unrealistic (evidence from real life) and can make it really difficult to recruit for the better teams; as most of the 4* recruits don't have us high or on their list at all because they don't expect us to be interested in them. I think a hard cap to bring your roster up to 70 for the 6* teams works much better.

I know there will be some guys who want the 5* cap but a limit of 5 in one year just doesn't model real life.

Hawk, as for your recruiting post. Personally I feel like you have a decent point, but my honest opinion is this game.isn't a realistic representation of.real life.recruiting, theresbjust not enough cream of the crop guys to go around. Im sorry, but while I acknowledge u guys win games to earn ur title shots it is going to get stale.having the same 2-3 teams at the tip every single ear, as that's not a real life model either.

Does.a.cap on recruits represent real life? No. But we can only play the game they made, flaws.and.all, and it's up to us as fair, sim style. Gamers to basically manually instill systems of checks and balances to make sure Ebay user has a chance.

Listen, what if the cap was six? That's a he'll of a good haul.

You guys figure it out. You know how I feel. I just want a fair shake

You shouldn't have any problems recruiting. Penn State stole 4 5* recruits from me the year before you took them over. Granted they were 6*s but still. They took recruits from me that I was going after hardcore. Your recruiting pitches are almost maxed out and you should be fine. Hell in offseason recruiting this past year I have no idea how you didn't pull anybody in; almost every guy I looked at going after had Penn State as his #1. But regardless, soon you'll get back up to 6*s and then you'll be raking in the 5*s too.

My thing is, when I took over ND I was 4*s and had a C overall team. I had to build up my team by winning games, getting decent 3*s mostly and some 4*s, increasing my recruiting pitches, and increasing my prestige. That was a long and hard process that did not happen overnight and I had to get to where I am by beating everyone else and recruiting against the giants of UT, UF, and Bama. I don't feel like it's fair now to implement a rule to "level the playing field" after I've done all this work to get to the top. Maybe some other guys started there, but I worked my ass off to get here. And I get what you're saying too, but I got to 6*s and developed ND into the program they are mainly on 4* talent because I couldn't win those 5* recruiting battles until recently with my pitches almost maxed out. Everyone else has elite programs that have the ability to reach the top just like I did. Penn State is not at a disadvantage to Notre Dame in recruiting. You can win games to get that 6th star just like I did and then just make sure you stay there. Once that happens you'll be golden and get a lot of 5* guys who like you. At that point, you'll be just like me and just constantly bitch about UF and UT and how they get 27 insta commits and shit.

But limiting the 6* programs to 70 players rather than 73 will take away 3 potential 4 or 5* guys we could get. That should provide everyone not 6*s with enough of an advantage to make up some ground. We'll still have to pass up some 5* guys who we want because we won't have the roster space for him and then you can swipe in and take him. That system could benefit you more than a 5* cap would as for instance in my situation, rather than using one of my +3 spots to sign a FS and a CB to replace my walk ons, I'll have to keep those walkons or use up one of my valuable 12 schollys for a position where I already have a player to replace him. A hard cap at 70 makes for a better realistic representation than does capping 5*s. Besides, even though this system would be easier to build up than I had it, I think it's more fair than a 5* cap.
