THE FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT RULE IS COMMUNICATION IS A MUST.
ADVANCES:
Each advance is 72 hours. You must have your game scheduled by 48 hours and posted a time on the forum if it is not already complete at the end of that 48 hour period. Users with CPU games will only be given 48 hours regardless if all user games are completed. There will be exceptions to these rules as long as the user follows the first and most important rule, communication (this means posting on the forum for all to see)
SETTINGS:
- Game Skill Level - All Madden
- Quarter Length - 8 minutes
- Accelerated Clock - 25 seconds
Everything else is default
RESTARTS:
Restarts are not tolerated. If you have a restart against the CPU, you need to post a reason. I realize things happen, but we don't want to see a patter of things happening.
USER DISCONNECTS:
If a game disconnects early in the game, it's up to the user winning to decide if they want to the game entirely or set up the situation.
Games in the second quarter or beyond must be played back to the situation as best as possible.
If the team losing disconnects in the fourth quarter and the team winning is up by more than 14, he may choose to finish against the cpu. The game may also be replayed to that scenario if the user winning is kind enough. If it's early in the quarter, I expect the team leading to follow the golder rule, do unto others as you'd have them do unto you.
AWAY USERS:
- In the event that a user game has 1 user out of town or whatever, the user that is "away" will have to be dropped so that the other user can play the cpu. Once the "away" user returns, he can be let back in. I'm sorry, but it has to be this way anytime a user has to play a user controlled team where the owner is "away". There is no other way to play the cpu in this scenario.
GAMEPLAY RULES:
I'm not going to get crazy into detail on this. Rocket catching, going for it on fourth and 7 on your 30 in the first quarter and things like this shouldn't have to be explained.
Here's a few things I will explain....
4th down rule - A user may always go for it if the down is 4th and 1 or less. That includes anywhere, anytime, anyhow.
A user may go for it on 4th and 3 or less across the 50 from the second quarter on.
If a user is down by 21 at any point in the second half, he may go for it at fourth down at any point.
Any other fourth down situations, use realistic judgement. If you're not sure, odds are you shouldn't go for it. If you wanna be sure, text me. Text someone. Ask your opponent. The worst thing to do is do nothing and go without knowing it's legal.
SURPRISE ONSIDE KICKS:
Each user is allowed one per season. His opponent must document it after the game.
FAKE PUNTS/KICKS:
A user is allowed 2 per year. Again, his opponent must document this after the game.
DEFENSIVE MAN AUDIBLES:
No more than 9 players may be in coverage on any play. At least 2 players must always be assigned to rush the quarterback, running back, backfield, etc.
TRADES:
Users are not allowed to trade with the CPU. There is a maximum of 6 trades per team per season including the offseason.
TRADE APPROVALS:
All trades must be approved by the trade committee. For now, we are going to go with a 3 man trade committee consisting of myself, errig and joey. This will most likely expand to 5 people depending on the amount of users we have and people's interest in being on the committee.
