Well, I wouldn't know about that. I don't think I've ever used that play in my life, lol. I despise that play and what it stands for.

Yeah it is. I mean when you look at the playart, you might be like damn this is a good play to stop the run, but when you run it, you realize it has no use lol. Unfortunately, the cpu loves to run this play on 3rd and long which quite often leads to some easy conversions lol.

yup you got that right. Works like a charm if you are 4 or 5 wide shotgun. Just a stupid play call in general

I need to play the game yall playing where it's only 50%. 9/10 times in a user game the pitch is complete when pitched "late" (in fact, the ball only sail past the RB twice in all the user games I played).

The late pitch is more like 90/10 this year. Last year it was more like 70/30

I'm just going to go ahead now and tell you guys that if there begins to be a late pitch rule you can kiss me goodbye. In my mind this is by far the lamest shit I've heard anyone complain about. It's not like I purposely wait to have someone hit me and then pitch it. It's funny, I've never heard one person complain about this in rivals. The only two people that have complained ever about this are 12 and justblaze, and even justblaze wasn't nearly as anal about it.

So either way, do what you want, but if something that anal gets passed then I'm outta here.

you mean urban might actually have to complete more than 5 passes in a game to win?

I don't know wtf you're talking about. I didn't even run the option when I had Brantley. I still pass it nearly 30 times a game. I mean, if you're just trying to stir up contreversy like you always do, go ahead, but you know that's bullshit.

We were having a good game till he started using the shady shit and then I just didn't care I was about to quit the game and let him finish vs the cpu because it was getting to be bad. There was only maybe 1 or 2 clean pitches every other one was questionable to straight up bad. There was one time where he was tackled on the ground and you could see his qb's arm flick like he hit the L2 button but he couldn't get it out.

Dude, shut the fuck up or save a replay next time. Seriously, you've been a bitcher for years, but now you're gonna be a liar too. Here's how you know he's a liar. He continues to say that I had "9" late pitches. Well, I have 14 carries with my running back and at the end of the game I carries the ball 7 times out of goalline with him. Therfore that's only 7 times that it was possibly late. Go back to your traditional football and quit stirring up problems. Next thing you're gonna start saying heisman is cheesy. Just bc you don't win, doesn't make shit cheesy.

is it lame? yeah and ive ragged on urban about this before too but seriously who cares theres a whole bunch of shit in this game that is lame because the makers of this game dont use common sense when building the physics of the game. Hell i just lost to spliff and he literally completed 12-13 of the same crossing routes against me while his qb is dropping back in the pocket. It's fine but in RL if a qb was dropping back while throwing a crossing route, nearly every time that happened the pass would come up short and the defender would be able to step in front of it for a pick, instead in this game defenders trail the WR or run into each other just about every play. theres a lot of stupid shit in this game, just let people play and move on i could find something we can call cheese in every game its not perfect lets all just play. I've played urban a ton of times and lost to him multiple times but i consider him easily one of the least cheese players in the game.

jhawk886 wrote:This is definitely an interesting development. I personally don't think it needs a rule, because as stop said, you live by it and you can die by it. Plus it also depends on your defense. If you have a good defense, they will generally cover the pitch man most of the time. You can also set your gameplan to cover the pitch man, and then you take control of someone to go after the QB yourself. There are many ways to combat it, it can be hard to stop, but it's not impossible. I've played a few option teams, urban twice in here and pops in rivals, and have yet to get killed by late pitches because they are "unstoppable". You just have to play smart defense and plan for it. If you only have one guy out there to cover both guys, well you should be screwed.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Make adjustments. People use to say that it was cheesy to throw to the running backs in the flat. It's obvious its not. You have to make adjustments. That's what gameplanning is in the game for. Play better. That's what it comes down to, just like Hawk said "You just have to play smart defense and plan for it." You know why Martinez rushed for 90 yards, because I didn't pitch it when it was covered. Like Hawk said, if there's one guy to cover two guys running the option, you should be screwed. That's what makes the option dangerous. You've got to make the defense commit to one person. Like I've said earlier, if its a fumble, there's no complaint. Its funny how the only time there's a complaint is after a loss. This can all be solved by two simple words....grow up.

Umm, I didn't run the same crossing routes. I ran quite a few other routes as well. That's off topic though. This post makes a lot of sense. You can find something to call cheese in every facet of the game. We're in season 3 in Workers and it hasn't been too much of a problem before and I know kid does the same thing and no one has brought his name up so I'm leaning towards just squashing it. Btw, I know you brought it up before jusblaze. I didn't forget you. It obviously can be stopped because Urbs hasn't won a championship yet. I'm gonna do some labbing and see what happens. I think I know the perfect defensive play for this. If I can have the cpu stop it while I'm labbing I'm just gonna squash it. If I find out that it IS a legitimate glitch or whatever, I'll bring it back to the table. Stay Tuned.....

i had something meaningful to say, but the last 4 hours of my life has left me speechless..florida state looked like playing on heisman and getting fucked by ea..wide open receivers dropping ball..ponder fumbling and blowing it twice..false starts..illegal motions (never seen that one on ncaa though)..etc

i think there was even a late pitch by those bitches..but i think the ncaa will let that one slide

The #25 Texas A&M Aggies go up to Happy Valley and pull off another upset, beating #5 Penn St. 31-21. This was a close one, with the teams trading punches back and forth. Speaking to Coach Blaze after this one, he appuladed his team on picking up on what PSU was actually doing.

"Steve (Hall) came up to me and told me that the frontside DE was going way out, so we told the line to shift to the right on every pass play to pick up on it and give him some time to pass."

Hall ended the day 18-32 with 263 yds and a TD to Uzoma Nwachukwu in the 3rd quarter. The defense played well, Allowing only 69 yds rushing and forcing 3 TOs. Now sitting at 2-1, and avoiding Kansas and Nebraska this year, the Aggies can have a run similar to the '10 campaign where they won the Big 12 South and maybe win the whole conference this time.
